Okay, PA:

Since you don't play this game, I need to spell out another imbalance for you.

In your desperate rush to get more people interested in playing this game, you decided to make Season (PLEASE change this name.  There's nothing seasonal about it, so call it "permanent", okay?) Servers permanent with all the perks that come with it.  This made fishing unbalanced, as Plump Coelecanth is a good money-maker, and everyone is stupid (sorry, but it's such easy free money) for not overnight fishing.  So, to address this, make Fairy Powder 500,000 silver too.  That way gathering can compete.  Also, make all lifeskill byproducts, Fairy Breath, Blush Leaf, Earth's Tear, etc, just as good as the Broken Bottle for exchanges.  Right now, you need 50% less bottles than everything for Exp, so....... let's halve the needed amount for every by-product so Fishing isn't god-tier anymore.  Equality is pretty cool.

Now, to the point: Gathering on "Season" Servers is 50-67% more profitable than gathering on regular servers.  This needs to be balanced, since it makes no sense to gather with any other character than the "Season" character.  Kinda nice to have variety, no?  Except, you obviously don't think so due to all the streamlining and minimizing, and deletion that you're so busy with these days.  Also, you like copy-paste (latest outfits, classes, etc), so variety seems to be not your priority.

But it is mine, and I bet many others.  We like doing things with all our characters, which is kinda why some people asked to have lifeskilling be a family attribute.  I'm on the fence about that.

But it makes more sense to even things out and make gathering profitable on all servers.  "Seasonal" servers are permanent and so are their perks.  Gathering shouldn't b one of them anymore.  It used to make sense, but now we (at least I do) have permanent "season" characters doing all the gathering.

Balance things out, please?  "Season" servers are to catch people up.  Give perpertual lifeskill exp buffs, sure that's ketchup mechanics, but amounts should be equal everywhere.

This game is a time-sink.  Inflation's practically out of control, so lifeskilling profits should be proprotional to combat profits and inflation.  Please, make it so.

And while you're at it, update Imperial Delivery prices too.  They're from a couple years ago, before prices skyrocketed.  Thanks.

Sorry for my snarkyness, but you're killing everything I love about this game.  Please stop.

Peace, have a proseperous 2024, and

Is this satire? I really can't tell. Buff fairy powder by 50x so it can compete with AFK fishing? Also the byproducts are actually pretty balanced if you consider the rate of acquisition and silver value per CP; If you were to go from 0 to 501 CP just off bottles it'd cost you approximately 94b compared to cooking exchanged for milk would cost you approx 110b. So even though bottles are slightly more money per byproduct, you get them much less frequently.

The reason season servers have a special gathering buff is because they can't use mastery gear and that's a pretty big deal. Could you provide some real examples of where you'd make more money/hr using Magic Tools in seasonal compared to 2k mastery in non seasonal? Because I'm pretty sure 2k mastery would win in most cases.

Yes, I agree with this assertion. However, I wasn't aware that using Magic tools was equivalent to 2,000 mastery points.

Magic tools aren't equal to 2k mastery. Magic tools are just the best season characters have available.

And those can't be repaired, if I remember correctly. Once they're done, you gotta get another of whichever one. I'd for sure prefer to do gathering on my main lifeskiller with TET manos gear.

Ok.  I see I'm wrong, on all counts.

As I have yet to dump enough time and resources into 2K Mastery, the bonuses of which I was unaware, I couldn't compare the differences.  Still, it is depressing that this game requires you to reach certain milestones in order to improve whatever you're doing: lifeskill or combat.  You have to struggle to reach a certain point, and then it's suddenly payoff time.  It would be nice if it was a gradient of improvement, so that each tiny improvement affects your results.  So that, the chances of scoring extra loot improve until you reach the point of guaranteed success.  Maybe that is the case with lifeskilling, but I haven't laboriously set out to prove it.

And yeah, after thinking it over, I realized that some byproducts are easier to obtain than others.  If you dabble in all lifeskills, it does balance out.

Thanks for setting me straight, everyone!

Peace

Every gatherer ever has known that Magic tools = 600 mastery, after 600 mastery the magic tool overwriting mastery is no longer beneficial and you need to stop using it.  In the case of Seasonal servers it is roughly = to 900 mastery slightly less, because 900 is better than seasonal magic tools, but 850 is worse than seasonal magic tools.  In previous seasons when the seasonal mats were more than they are now, it was equal to about 1050 mastery because the seasonal mats brought the value up slightly.

2k mastery is going to vastly out perform magical tool seasonal gathering by such a margin it's not even funny.

Are you comparing fishing with a tripple float to gathering, because that is the only way your other half makes any sense.  Tripple float is no where near sustainable because there is a finnite supply of tripple floats a person can get.
