 Hello, I am a BDO Partner and Youtube/Twitch creator and have been for some years now. I enjoy BDO mainly for the PVP content. As most of us who follow updates are aware, BDO is currently planning some big changes towards balancing PVP. This is absolutely the perfect time to take advantage of balance work and do something all the PVPers have been asking for since I started playing BDO 4 years ago...

REMOVE PVP RESISTS!!! 

I'm not just tired of losing to resists, moreso I am tired of WINNING  due to resists. 

I understand some classes are balanced around resists as a mechanic, so since PA is currently working on heavy changes to class balancing this is the perfect time to adjust for that factor and finally rid the game of this obnoxious RNG mechanic that doesn't benefit ANY specific group of players. Some arguments are made that resists help new players, but a 40% chance to get a second chance isn't actually helping when fighting an experienced player who ALSO has a 40% chance for second chances.

I would ask for resists to only be removed for at LEAST Arena of Solare as it is a competitive mode, but again, resists are a part of class balance as some classes have higher resists/ignore resist functions. Fully adjusting the balancing to support the removal is the best bet, and this is now the BEST time to do so.

This is a good idea, but requires a massive rework in several classes to actually go ahead with this.

Until network issues are fixed in the west im not gonna bother with pvp in bdo.

Removing rng from pvp sounds good but what about evasion, accuracy,cc extensions, class mods? I think rng will never end.

I have doubts about implementing this due to the impact it would have on large-scale.

That being said, purely for AoS/BA, I'd be willing to accept it even as an awakening witch if Iframe-grab priority server side was switched back to 2018-19 system.

For those that don't know. Back in the day, if a server grab conflict happened at server end (1 player grabbing another player the moment they enter iframe state), the desync would favour the iframer. This means that, if you're skilled enough, you could not only avoid a grab, but force your opponent into a grab animation while being free to punish them. This was extremely important for grabless kiting classes fighting grab classes, as they could flip pressure on a too greedy grab / dash dash grab playstyle.

If they again gave priority to iframes over grabs serverside, you'd be alright removing grab Res. It'd still be bad for classes like us with no cancels, but surely that could fix that later down the line, and at least we could punish the most readable of dash dash grabbers.

ngl i agree, i wish they'd go back to that mode. i doubt they will but the game felt WAY better back then... however i don't see the large scale reference. imo most classes that ppl play for largescale are already so protected there's so few gaps to punish compared to back when the game made sense to run resists, now it seems silly as u have to wait for your one tiny opening to try and punish players and they resist it then go back to their full SA rotation, it takes the fun and challenge out of the game and leaves it being frustrating instead.

if you give awakened wizard more ways to keep moving protected and to avoid grabs than to pray on rng and having mana shield up .... doesnt sound like a terrible idea. that first if is kinda key word there, because currently this class spec often depends on rng rolls to be able to play the game sadly.

Remove resists, grabs, knockdowns, floatings in pvp. It's very annoying to be grabbed and lose a pvp fight because of it, knockdowns, floating are somewhat irritating but grabs are worse.

That being said movement abilities should also be disabled during pvp
