The process of afk leveling your horse for instance in safe zones is very tedious because once you put the client on a tray there may be a chance that your character will be standing still with your horse.
There's many reasons for why it may occur regarding the above, a microsecond of a disconnect or stuck on structure.
An easy solution and a decent alternative, that most of the community will be pleased with, is by putting your horse to the stable keeper and let the npc train the horse for you.
Another option is to allow your workers to train the horse for you instead.

IF, then make it 1 to 1 cuz no1 will switch if you lose the mastery benefit and its slower than normal training on top.
