Can someone give me more details?
Do you agree with this change?

If government wants your data they WILL get it.
If a hacker wants your data and you dont know of him, he WILL get it.
You can agree that a random company can harvest your data and sell it to others (which will not be personalized) or you don't play BDO anymore.
Think about if 1 more random company having your data makes ANY difference!
That was actually the original anti-cheat program when BDO launched and for several years.
I guess this means people will be able to play those other games that also use EAC at the same time as BDO.

Don't listen to the bunch of doom and gloom people around here. In fact you should celebrate the fact that BDO is moving away from EasyAntiCheat. Because that opens the door wide for us to afk lifeskill and make passive gains while PvPing in other games at the same time. Which is a Win Win in my books.
Like the guy above me said, unless you don't use the internet. Your data is already being past around to many companies. So, realistically, nothing actual changes.
The last game I played with this was Blade and Soul. All Xigncode3 did was make the game lag more while doing nothing to stop cheaters. Speed hacking became more common after the switch if anything.

XIGNCODE is a useless tool which doesn't really prevent cheating, often wastes too much CPU power, sends private information (which is against the laws of many western countries, including USA btw.) and feels like the reason for most of the crashes. You should be more concerned that they log all files and paths that you modified in the last ~48 hours and all executables with prefetch files into their logs." There's also a number of other intrusive things it does like monitoring text your type while the game is running Xigncode is pretty much an insane key logger, that records folders that are open, files, memory, dll's, processes, connected hardware, and more, it is all store on the Welbia servers. If they allow this it violates the GDPR since the date need to be store in an EU country afaik. Also people got banned left and right for having RGB memory, Razer's mouse software, Steelseries headset software, and the list goes on and on and on. Having a folder open with mods and edit tools for fallout or skyrim while afking in bdo, that is a violation. (source: forum/reddit).Is true? Are there players from other games that have this anti-cheat that have experienced this? or do you have information related to this aspect?
XIGNCODE3 was used before and the feedback wasn't quite positive although I believe having a good anti-cheat is important for BDO. The other issue is this is kind of an intrusive program and unless PearlAbyss and Wellbia have a new protocol to operate within EU laws, they'll have a pretty rough time because they'll need to fill reports at the end of the year about their activity on certain aspects. They will have to prove they're within GDPR boundaries which is pretty hard considering how XIGNCODE3 works. We will see in which way affects the gameplay experience since people fear all sorts of conflicts and crashes that happened in the past.
BDO performance was markedly improved when the publishing changed and Xigncode3 was dropped for EAC. I can't say that the software hasn't changed or that this will 100% be the case from tomorrow on, but I know my experience with Xigncode3 through BDO in the past has made the news of its return a cause for worry.
Admins hide the post where the video shows how stupid this anti-cheat is. Nice PA :))))) 2024
Why not let the community see how this new anti-cheat works? The video shows how the programs you want this anti-cheat to block were tested. It was not used against anyone but only to prove functionality
