Are u serious right now ? I could have 300 fps before damn hotfix without heat spikes. Dude l2p read.

yeah then melt your cpu idiot

Oh, tell me how I'm going to do that. I'm curious what tech engineer you are. Cause ability to read is not your strong side.

300fps with 60C before patch vs 140 with 80C after patch. Yeah, it's my hardware fault, for sure.

you are just a clueless idiot that cant help anyone in here, why u just stop posting?

you're the clueless idiot. there's no helping anyone with this. PA needs to adress the fuckup they did with the update and that's what this thread is for. see yourself you, PA shill whiteknight, as others mentioned, stop downplaying this.

So, the timeline here is:

.) Xigncode gets added, many people cannot log in or crash on server selection

.) "Security Update" happens, login issue fixed, but AMD CPU users see 20-30°C higher temperatures

.) A thread for the new issue gets made, people come together to report this now pretty apparently universal experience

.) An angry keyboard warrior appears and tells everyone that their CPUs reaching the 90s, partially making their systems crash is all good, not of any concern and that they are stupid

Something about that last point makes me believe that there is only one person that doesn't know what they're talking about and they're definitely not part of the group of people experiencing sudden temperature spikes

spot on mate.

and one guy is like "i'm right and you all are idiots". /facedesk

*uses Intel CPU and has no problems*

Boy it must suck to FOMO out on AMD's X3D series processors that are capable of burning up because of faulty hardware temperature protections. Let's blame it on xigncode and not on the manufacturer's admitted defects.

It is important to note that this is ONLY affecting AMD X3D processors and not their equally powerful but slightly more power hungry X series processors. Don't blame the anti-cheat. It's not what's killing your CPU. Your CPU is killing itself because it can't recognize there's a problem like every single other processor on the market can.

The CPUs are detecting the issue and throttling or blue screening. This is also happening to some non X3D series chips. My girls 5800x has this issue.

Also Intel has had this issue in the past albeit on a different game - no need to start the platform game as the issue is whatever changed in the security patch.

Her CPU might be running slightly higher, but I guarantee you it's not going to burn up. X3D chips are flawed and AMD admitted and 3rd party researchers proved it was a design flaw with the X3D chips not having the ability to tell the MOBO to stop increasing the power it sends to the CPU rail. They "patched" this flaw with a BIOS update, but the hardware issue was never fixed. If xigncode is monitoring at a rate that causes the CPU to overheat in specific areas of the chip, it's unrelated to the MOBO sending too much current to the chip, and the hardware flaw will reappear. X3Ds simply are not capable of self-overcurrent protection. Intel and series X processors do not have this issue. Change your processor because it's broken, not because it's BDO's fault.

I DON'T HAVE THE TIME AT THE MOMENT COULD SOMEONE SEND UNDER TECHINCAL SUPPORT TICKET THIS INFO THEY NEED HERE IS THE TICKET WITH INSTRUCTIONS THEY SENT ME OF WHATS NEEDED SOMEONE ELSE WITH THIS TEMP PROBLEM. ( I sent in my logs / temps / task manager, just didnt do the clean boot.) Clean boot only if you know what you are doing though..

the thread is all about this very problem you're acknowledging here. you sound like it's all fine, unless someone's CPU literally explodes?

you don't need to be a tech expert to understand, that running something at the very limi at maximum temps, max fan noise and and crashes, while doing pretty much nothing, is harmful on the long run. i'm putting current BDO in same category as malicious bitcoin miner trojans.

when it only happens with BDO, it's on BDO, simple as that.

even if the CPU doesn't fry, there's clear evidence for abnormal CPU activity, when there should be none, and also wasn't until last patch. high temps, fans spin up, high power usage, are always a problem, even if the CPU doesn't instantly fry.

for the same reason you don't rev up your car up to 6000 rpm and stay in first gear, even if the motor can do 6000, and all this for hours while standing in a parking lot.
