someone should take this to Gamers Nexus, they love this kind of stuff :)
I think there are some streamers/youtubers that will use this topic (like Asmongold)

i like that idea.
I can attest to this. I have posted in the bug reports section about it also.
Anybody trying to state that it is something wrong with the hardware, this is not the case. This is happening across the board on the majorty of users in this thread, and this is related to BDO, not each users PC.
There is no reason for a CPU to go from 40c to 90c within 5 seconds upon launch.
This is Xigncode, and has happened in previous games like Blade and Soul etc in the past.
Until BDO fixes this, rolls it back, or something changes, DO NOT risk your hardware just for this.
Yes, a small solution may be running Lowest Optimal, capping voltage, capping fps etc. However if you have to mess with all this in order to not overheat, I would not be playing the game as it is a risk to your hardware and clearly not running correctly.

I mean sure if that's what you want. However, in my case after New World, I make sure to cap my voltage on CPU and GPU and to also cap frames to my monitor's refresh rate. So I guess that's why I didn't lose my AMD CPU to BDO.
I think I'm unlucky... I upgraded from my 8700k to a 7800x3d the day the patch went live.
Regardless of the tweaks/workarounds you're able to do to your system that seem to be working for some people, this is clearly not an isolated or client-side problem and it needs to be addressed by Pearl Abyess ASAP. I find it kind of insane that neither Pearl Abyss nor Xigncode's support has acknowledged there is even an issue on their end.

Chances are thye simply just do not care enough to address it.

It's honestly so sad, that something like this would probably be the only thing that would make PA come out with a statement about this issue.
Has anyone received another response from support, after the first one where they make you clean boot run the game? It's been radio silence in my case.

That is fair, my point here is that its the game and not the user. Sure we can underclock, lower voltages, lower clock speeds, lower graphics etc to workaround the issue, but the issue is on their end and should be addressed by them.
Limiting my own hardware purely for BDO is not fixing the issue. I can currently play it with random spikes to 85c, but the fact it's not running correctly in the first place is the worrying issue. Leaving this running overnight for AFK activities is also simply too risky.
