this CPU dont runs hot with power, so if you undervolt it potetionally goes even hotter. i dont have any issues, but im also not an idiot who dont know how to uv or oc.
i would also like you to check your thermal paste, maybe u placed it wrong.
Hello here using a 7800x3d and yea i experienced aswell high temps and spikes when game start . Usually stay in 50 60 degree but have some spikes til 80 degress which wasnt before there . And for smart ppl who say to repaste or do other stuff , the build is new has 2 months old and is colled by aio which never passed 60 degree before , if u cant bring a sugestion or an argument dont post , leave us with our problems . This thing happen since xingcode update !!!!

I completely agree. I am a software engineer and experienced in this field. People who are saying things like "get better cooling" etc dont realize that this happened with the patch, and not prior, nor with anything else on the systems. No other games having this issue etc. This is a BDO issue, due to Xigncode. I don't see how that is so difficult for people to understand.

This is such a null point. This has nothing to do with hardware or builds. This is a patch issue and nothing more, nothing less. Inadvertantly assuming people are "idiots" for not underclocking their hardware due to a patch in BDO is both irrelevant and ignorant. Majority of gamers are exactly that, gamers. Not particularly skilled in building PC's, and they should not need to be in order to band aid fix a Pearl Abyss fuckup.
thanks, thats really the problem. people monitoring their hardware without any understanding of the hardware...
i dont see why PA should even acknowledge you people.

They should do it because a large portion of the player base had to buy the high end equiptment being effected by their poor decisions in order to be able to play the spaghetti code they wont fix.
You don't seem too smart, so I'll break it down for you.
1. Game runs fine at 60c. Other games perform the same.
2. BDO Performs a maintenace and adds an anti cheat that is known for doing spiking temperatures in other games that its in.
3. Players start to experience spikes in temperature in BDO BUT NOT in other games.
4. Players physically prove the problem to Pearl Abyss on a thread that has 14 pages of complaints
Then you come out and say it shouldnt be addressed by anyone. You're something else to delegitimize the concerns of a lot of people with thousands of dollars of equiptment. I'd just stop talking if I were you.
At this point, the process to check to see if you can simply play the game is just as complicated as Pearl Abyss makes it so you are ready to grind a high end area. Just imagine the other people who are not computer savy not knowing this is going on while Pearl Abyss burns up their PC while simutaniously offering a free processor in an event, the same style as the ones they are currently burining to a crisp in their own players computers.
This only compounds on the concerns that the company makes decisions without thinking about how it effects their playerbase, and Its been going on for years now.

You are absolutely on point. I should also tear a part my new laptop and address this factory defect that reared its ugly head a couple days ago with a BDO patch. Thank goodness you and PA are here to help all of us see the faults in our ways. I called Lenovo with your suggestions and their engineers were enthusiastically taking notes. I gave them your username and they should be creating an account here soon to contact you.
Yes my thermal paste place itself wrong too on a day they added xigncode3, more over it seems it dried out as well, can you believe it? what a coincidence
no its just another kind of load you didn't even notice untill now, because you dont play anything beside this sologrindgame.
I have a 7700x and i average around 40c under normal load and BDO is average 76 degrees.
Issue occurs: BDO running
Issue Fix: Close BDO
