If you really have problems or concerned. Just apply energy saving plan for now and do content where you not rely on FPS. Game will not run smoothly but you should get good amount of temperature drop

no its just another kind of load you didn't even notice untill now, because you dont play anything beside this sologrindgame.

You're delusional. It's not a hardware issue, it's not a power budgeting issue, and it's not and overclocking or undervolting issue. It's a Pearl Abyss issue. They clearly didn't do proper QAT with high end cpus before they randomly hotfixed this patch into the game. Stop going to bat for the billion dollar company that is bricking peoples computers. People shouldn't have to limit hardware capibility to play an MMO that came out almost 10 years ago. They aren't giving you free pearls for acting like an idiot on their forums lil bro.

I have a 7950x3D and 4090. I am getting about 8 to 10 c higher temperatures in BDO than I do stress tests, which should never happen. I also work on my computer. With the AMD overheating and exploding or bricking fiasco, I do not feel comfortable running this game until this is fixed.

Is there anyway I can ask Pearl Abyss to pause my buffs until this is addressed?

If you have not done so already, or you have not submitted a ticket already
Please use the Error Reporting Client (PERS) to get your info to the techies

Use the PERS "Error Reporting App"

- Locate the PERS app in the BDO installation folder

- This will collect system diagnostic data about your hardware and logfiles and send them back to PA for looksies

- and attach it to a ticket with a Unique Identifier for you & your machine.

Hey guys,

i just wanted to join this convo and also wanted to say, it is not only an AMD  x3D kind of exclusively related Problem within the last patch and the "new" anti cheat service.I am rocking a Intel 9900k @ stock on underneath an 360 AiO, Gskill 3600 16-16-16-36 32 GB DDR4 Kit on the MSI MEG Z390 Godlike, and alot of the above mentioned things happened to me to.

Here are the things i been facing since and took me the whole afternoon to deal with:

- Usual Temps while playing VCore Voltages 55-65°C, since last Patch 70 - 85 °C , and having alot of Browsers taps for streams and yt and so on open (in Google Chrome), while discord and steam also running in the backround.

- RAM Voltages shown in HWinfo64 with usual 1.350v but since patch 1.750V+? also instead of Showing 3600 mhz (Megatransfer) going over 2000 - 2200 mhz? also my Core Distance Temps went from usually 45 - 60°C to 75 - 85°C aswell in HWinfo64.-CPU Usage at 100 % constandly while as soon as i start the launcher --> shown in Windows Task manager (Win11) While MSI Afterburner shows smth arround 67 - 85 %?

- Massive random Stutters - Insane Lags while playing holding on for like 2 - 3 seconds anywhere and everywhere around the Map

Thinks i have done to get rid of it so far:

- Messing arround with my bios to doublecheck things, then continueing to get rid of Hyper Threading, change Powerconsumetion from Auto to 95w (Intel default setting, over MSI settings) for Longduration aswell as Shortduration usages, Putting in an Offset of -0.045v on the VCore Settings, Running Several Benchmarks from Cinebench23 to Prime95 to 3DMark CPU Profile.Instead of ususally using Ultimate Power settings in Windows, i switched to Balance and my Temps went back down to low 50's.

I also added fresh Termalpaste on my CPU just to make sure, i did everything possible to not burn my pc down.

the Core Distance Temps of all my Cores, despite the hotfixes i did, mentioned above stood the same --> 75 - 85°C. I thought, i did bad on applying new Thermalpaste. But here is the Thing, i put everything appart again just to make sure, and nothing changed.

the Idle Temps went down from 45 - 54 to 29 - 43°C though.Whatever happened within the previous Patch, it aint on us, The customers, to "solve it". Just to make that clear.

It also aint done with a hotfix. To me it pretty much looks like, I am constandly running a Stresstest worse then Prime95 and there is also AVX12 involved? which is super heavy on CPU + RAM as far as i remember.

Also, to PA, I know alot of people who arent as knowledgable as some hardcore Hardware/Software Nerds in this beloved community, who know nothing, how to solve or atleast hotfix certain things. Be aware of that.

I am looking forward for PA to give us an Official Statement very shortly aswell as a Proper Solution to it. Make sure to Not only Check up AMD related issues, also Intel Related issues. Also to my fellow Adventurers, The things to hotfix my PC as of now only Exclusively apply to my PC and Setup, especially Intel.

There are similar fixes for AMD and for other Intel hardware aswell within your BIOS Settings, which can be applied. Not only Run PC in Powersaving mode, just so ya know.

Best of luck and Healthy PC's to ya allKind Regards Tommy

I don't think theres anything PA can do outside going back to EAC. All that scaning probably keeps your CPU on heavy load and this spike temps because turbo feature will push as much as your temps (or your settings) allows.

Used to have a similar problem with Apex Legends during compiling shaders each time I update my graphic card drivers. I fix this with better cooling (not saying you should do it too).

As a temporal solution (a easy one too), if you really want to keep playing BDO, will be to turn off turbo mode if you can and check temps after that. However, there are better options and tweaks. Anyway, the best way to force PA hands is to not touch the game again until this get addressed.

As a personal level with Xigncode performance seems to be quite similar or a bit worst for me but game degradation overtime has become clearly worse. Temps are more or less the same for my CPU.

Definitely a case of reverting to EAC. Xigncode has been known to do this in other titles, as well as back when BDO used it before EAC. I do hope they revert the change, or move to another anti-cheat. Because at the moment, it is not worth risking the lifespan of hardware to play the game. Underclocking, power saving, software limiting are all band aid fixes but these are not solutions, nor should users be expected to limit their device in order to play BDO, which would also affect productivity on the device and performance in other titles.

Newest patch seems to help a lot still spiking to 85 on start up but sitting at 55c without random 30c spikes at 100% processor state
