Interesting that there still hasn't even been a single mention or aknowledgement of this issue from their side, only a "hotfix" that didn't do much where they didn't even really talk about what it fixed
I'm running the following:
7800x3d
AIO Corsair H100I Elite LCD XT Liquid CPU Cooler
32 gb RAM DDR5 6000 mhz
7900xtx
Windows 11 Pro
ROG Crosshair x670e Hero MB
Running at 2k resolution, full screen, High Texture setting on Remastered, FXAA for Anti-aliasing. No upscaling
on initial start-up of BDO -> 89.5 C for CPU spike
for about first 10 mins, would have occasional temp spikes in between 80 - 85 C
afterwards... things seem to settle to in-between 70 - 76 C with coolant temps hovering 40 - 42 C
when minimized to taskbar... with Microsoft Edge running/streaming video... anywhere from 54 - 67 C w/ coolant 36 - 39 C
ambient room temp 71 - 74 F
All that being said... that initial start-up spike and follow on intermittent spikes for about the first 10 mins or so is def new since xigncode patch
Pearl Shop -> Hot and New section spikes to 78 C briefly before fans ramp up and bring it down to constant 75 C
Still seeing this without any adjustments made since Xigncode implemented, even with deleting the old EasyAntiCheat folder that was inside the BDO folder as was recommended at one point. Nothing has changed at all.
Workaround for X3D Temp Issue.
1. Revert any of the previous settings you tried messing with.
2. Do not touch processor power states (or revert them to default 0% min, 100% max).
3. Go to Bios settings --> Precision Boost Overdrive Menu --> search for CPU Max Temp or something similar --> Set to 80C instead of the default (89C).
Explanation:
All other solutions (including 99% power state) disable CPU boosting completely and your CPU will only work at 4.2 GHz, instead of 5.25Ghz.
This solution will help you keep your CPU cool enough without losing performance. . Setting the max temp lower will just throttle your CPU during the occasions when BDO is being weird like game startup, pearl shop, loading screens etc. During normal gameplay, your CPU will still boost to 5.25 Ghz like it should.
Again, this is a workaround but its the best of all the other things people have come up with. PA should still investigate and FIX this issue.
Enjoy.
Can we all agree, that Xigncode3 aka Wellbia is a below mediocre anticheat-system which causes risk of bricked PC´s?
Additionally there should be really some governmental investigation on why this anticheat has to make a constant deep search of the PC (probable cause of those high temps, might be high usage of hardware-resources to calculate in background the whole process) and inlcuding what it does with those found datas.
PA going to acknowledge this yet? Jesus christ...
I am still having issues, I logged a ticket on January 27th that is still under investigation. Crossing my fingers that the January 31st update improves something
nothing changed after this patch again
Was one of the lucky few to not have been shafted by high temps after the Xigncode change, but I can say that today's patch has turned my PC into a jumbojet. 5800X3D.
I cant even boot the game, temps spike to above 90C and the game closes. I'm on a 7800x3d and a 4090.
You must be doing something seriously wrong, because BDO don't cause my CPU to go over 70C. My recommendation is to use the votage software that came with your AMD CPU or get a 3rd party software to lower the voltage.
