I thought I was the only one until I stumbled upon this thread. 7900X3D and upon starting the game my CPU hits the temperature limit right away and the temperature spikes from the usual 59-60 (what I was getting before this week's maint) to 80-85.

The only change that has happened to my system in the past week is the anticheat software switch PA did, so now I know who to turn to, to buy me a new CPU if something happens to mine.

As a AMD CPU enjoyer, that would make me sad if BDO starts bricking our CPUs. I also noticed the 10C overall increase in Heat to my CPU after the switch. However, I have another program to force throttle my CPU to never go over 75C. Which came at a cost of a minor loss of 7FPS on average.

Sadly if it comes to that, what program are you using and is it easy to use to do so?

I thought it was just me! Running a 7950x3D, on initially launching the game it can hit 88c and then while the games running it'll randomly spike to 80-85c.

Can confirm. Running an AMD *x3d chip and temps are +25c higher after the switch to Xigncode3 spiking as high as 95c while idle. I'm not going to risk my setup on poorly optimized / overly aggressive anticheat. 30c thermal cycling every 15 seconds is not good.

Opening a support ticket can help PA track issues like this and hopefully get us a patch quicker.

Its the New Nvidia driver, try reverting to the last driver

No it's not I don't think, I tried didn't work i reverted to previous one and was still an issue, also other games aren't doing it like bdo is, can't even ride a horse in bdo without going to 80c now sigh, I even did an extreme and reformated my pc keeping personal files and that still didn't help, might as well not play till there is a fix.

no it's not, i've had the same studio driver for months, the temp issues started after the update yesterday. please edit your post, you are spreading misinformation.

I deleted it. Had someone replicate the high temp issue and they said newest nvidia driver caused the issue. I have a 7800x3D and mine runs under 60c with remastered.

From what I found out this seems limited to the X3D chips. My friends use 3900X and 5800X, and while they see couple degrees higher temperatures, their CPUs don't go dangerously close to the thermal limit.

Which category did you pick when you opened a ticket? The technical one has mandatory boxes to fill like launcher error codes that aren't at all related to the issue.
