The over-simplification of BDO through the removal of items

At last they do what players want, there is even a topic on forum with requests and huge support regarding the combination of life skills crystals because without paying a lot of money it is impossible to create many sets for each life skill.

So far all these simplifications are positive and increase playability.

The previous simplifications were generally okay as it was relieving bloat items that served no real point.

There was in general no needed usecase for the items (shards instead of full drops) or they shrunk items down to have less size to them (potions being one size instead of two). At no point did they remove those smaller potions nor did they remove the more niche potions entirely despite being as I said, niche.

The crystals in question (primarily blue ones) are used extensively witihin negative karma builds; they are used in heavy DP builds empowering full eva builds to stack even more than they would get with later crystals; they are used in sieges to reduce building damage; they are used by new players that cant afford too/cant commit to buy or dont want to risk losing more expensive crystals that break their budget; builds for jump height on scholar or even just something fun like high jumping on tamer; and likely more that I personally haven't run in too.

The crystals being simplified are not entirely the green ones and we are not being left with a different option.
PA previously stated we would get "combined versions of these crystals" which would make sense if they did want to reduce the amount of crystals overall, however this has not been implemented.

Currently we are being left with zero options to fulfill this gap.

This change could easily be well recieved had any other option been presented to fulfill what they are removing in a more straightforwards and practical manner but this has not been done, this change negatively impacts me personally as well as plenty of other players all because of a far too straightforward thought of "simplification good" without looking at the rammifacations of those changes.

Personally I implore PA to consider holding off on this till they do have a replacement in place as it currently causes major issues for a chunk of the community even if we are a smaller portion of it.

If you want to be red, suffer the consequences.

I've been playing BDO for 4 years and I've never used any crystal from the deletion list.
What's more, I haven't used any crystals for almost 4 years because the bonuses from them are ridiculously low. Only after the last change of the crystal system, thanks to which you can significantly increase, e.g. AP or AP monster, crystals make sense, but they are end game crystals and not some junk crystals.

However, until PA removes the destruction of crystals as a result of our death, I will still play without crystals in end game zones.

I agree with OP. I understand the need to reduce items and simplify the game but lifeskilling is the wrong place to to do that.  If anything, lifeskilling needs more complexity.  This is the wrong direction for lifeskilling.   The unification of fruits and traces for example is totally uncessessary.  Lifeskilling will be boring and overly simplistic with the proposed changes and players wont be able to take advantage of diverse market demands since everyone will have the same resources.

I used to gather truffle mushrooms and rare gem nodes across the world but the profitability has been totally ruined by changes that allow people to get these materials while afk with next to zero effort.  Why you do this PA??

It's like PA doesn't understand what makes their game good and make people want to play. Just the thought of them removing the evasion crystals that have no limit makes me never want to do pvp like NW or seige as a Shai. Uncapped was the only good content we had as a Shai and now that's gone. The game in it's current state has almost a single build that people use. I think forcing people to make different builds for like different grind zones makes it more interesting. I was so disappointed when they made the recent crypt changes. Needing to make an accuracy build with different cc types for crypt made it interesting and unique. Now it's literally just another grind spot and boring af. Simplifying the game is great for new players but they're making it boring for old players

Makes sense, why you're complaining about "no profit".

No crystals -> no efficiency -> less performance -> lower than average income.

BDO is (in theory) an MMORPG. MMORPGs are characterized by their rich assortment of build paths and player driven choices.

in practice also but you are like 6 years late for that.

gut the crystals. useless fluff.
Make sure you melt em since the new jetina quests requires shards.

To answer in kind; I was there back in 2017, arguing for more build paths, more unique sidegrades. I was there when we were only beginning to understand hidden stats and datamine what we could. I didn't give up then and I still refuse to give up now, until PA truly completely kills their game.

They won't do it unless they completely remake enhancement and they won't since the new zones drop essences so they doubled down on the current system. I don't think i have to tell you why needing to enhance multiple fallen god equivalent items will make people vanish faster than a thanos snap.
