Trade crates might seem to be "dead" but it is a very useful "life skill"/feature that helps create a demand for mats that would sit on the marketplace.

It would be great to see them add more crates in the game (some of which are in the codex but not implemented ingame). 

All of which would be gated around workshops, trade crate transports, and processing mastery/speed. 

Some ideas:

Kamaslyvian Timber Crate

Valencian Timber Crate (Palm & Elder Tree)

Alloy Ore Crate (Lead and Iron)

Trade crates that use lower-grade cooking items or unique dishes that you can make specifically for these new crates

Trade crates that use alchemy bloods (tyrant, sinner, etc)/oils

Updated Fishing/Grain/Flower Crates that use multiple types for a higher profit trade. 

This would increase demand for the items, help turnover rates for these items, increase lifeskill profits for lifeskillers, and increase everyone's worker empire passive profits.
