Not only is the class devoid of movement and identity but it also eats up my entire quickslot bar too lol

AP shai does more damage, is more durable, has more frequent access to iframes, and has long distance movement that desync causes to act almost as an iframe. A shai fighting an awake witch has genuinely become a bit of a toss-up.
And in terms of support, witch buffs have abysmal duration and uptime. Her heals are unprotected compared to sa heals shai has. And buff potency on witch has been gutted to the point where protected area is barely even a buff. Even valk does just about everything witch does for support better and fully protected.
in 1v1, it might be a bit of a tossup, but in a group fight of 2 or more, shai way outclasses awake witch.
