Suggestions/Comments: This crystal was removed in the recent patch in an attempt to remove the 'clutter' regarding old/outdated content. Some of the crystals that had planned to be removed as part of this process but instead were kept in the game inlclude crystals such as Magic Crystal of Infinity - Down Attack (additional down attack +10%) and also Magic Crystal of Infinity - MP Recovery (+1 mp recovery on hits).
Both of these crystals are basically noob traps and contribute to the same clutter that the patch was meant to be fixing, instead a crystal that was almost priceless in terms of the value it offered (+8 evasion and stackable) has been removed instead. This isn't a post regarding evasion/game balance etc, but based on the nature of the patch it is only fair that this oversight is fixed.

(For the people who are going to screenshot this and send in various discords etc (imagine someone giving feedback lol!) feel free to dm oogiemane on discord there to let him know (lol!))

To add more context, the optimal set up (in my opinion) required using 3 of these crystals for a combined +24 evasion. If you also used pen hesus rings, then upgrading them to the new 'sea fog' earrings at pen is a combined gain of 8 evasion. So this change alone results in a loss of 16 evasion overall. At this current point in time for a lot of people its just -24 evasion. Which if in terms of overall game balance, is the opinion of the developers, then ok thats up to them - but that is a different issue entirely, its a big nerf which appears to be completely unintentional and as a consequence of a change not meant to have an impact on pvp.

As a Shai I am unsurprised they somehow found a way to nerf us with a quality of life improvement. :) Don't even get me started on how bad the new rings are with their undervalued evasion.

They also found a way to nerf Hunting and AFK Fishing by removing Resistance Durability ones
But lets keep MP Recovery and Submergence... completely useless

Wait they removed durability reduction?  Not so much a nerf to hutning because tents exist, but that is a major nerf to fishing and AFK horse training.

I am all for decluttering old items nobody uses, but clearly there are quite a few of those old crystals that are in demand and are active used by the community. Pls add those back.

Losing possible 24 evasionb (or more) is a big nerfs for the evasion builds (that hoepfully wasnt intended). Pleas listen to the community on this, and dont destory the specialized builds!

Its also worth noting that even for players who are DR, they are going to less tanky long term as this change essentially means its possible to freely swap a Jin Viper for another damage crystal or for people to swap out an ominous with the upcoming free jetina crescent for additional AP brackets, especially with how AP scales vs DR if you are someone who relies on stacking large amounts of DR this is worse for you as well since each additional point of AP is signficant vs high amounts of DR. Whilst I don't want to lean too heavily into an overall game balance discussion, the easier it is for people to deal damage without trading AP for accuracy, the less tanky everyone who builds DR gets in the game as people will prioritise additional AP over additional accuracy, for a healthy itemisation metagame there has to be a good diversity of builds that people can go for. The foundation of Accuracy > Evasion > AP > DR (simplified) does not work anymore the better that AP becomes vs evasion with no opportunity cost.

Ultimately if it is an intended nerf to evasion then so be it, but making a fairly large change to what is a core mechanic of PVP shouldn't be done as a consequence of trying to tidy up items which weren't used that frequently. Especially with the recent patch which was a quite well nuanced nerf to some strong and popular classes I find it hard to believe that this change was intentional.

Bad for red karma players who used these as disposable.

But also bad for cheap Eva builds in general and capped content.

Mobfeeding also being removed apparently, just another attack on reds or ppl who want to defend a spot.

But I'm sure it's all a big misunderstanding 🤣.

Don't get your hopes up, we aren't leaving.
