Do you really think anyone cares about 3333 crons?
It's one failed click bs pen and a loss of millions to repair item.

Without pve only channels, free fast travel to any node, unlimited marni, removal of loss of exp and crystals due to death, pity parts for all treasures and progressive enchantment system (no item lvl drop/item disappearance) this game is dead anyway.

No offense, but I'm pretty that BDO will have its server online for more than 10 years into the current future as of this post. If you don't believe just look at Blade and Soul and Archeage. If those absolute crap-tier MMOs can stay afloat after losing nearly all their playerbase. Then BDO has nothing to worry about it. Because BDO is superior to not only to both of those MMOs, but also too any upcoming MMOs that supposed to be releasing in the near future.

Well but what happened to Tera. It will be PA choise. If they have another game that gives them money, BDO will stay, if not, they will close the server. But semenad... should be happy, he wanted BDO to be killed so he is getting his wishes little by little. And not only he ;)

Strangely, back then I expected PA to try their luck on 2 sides :

- having BDO on an alternative niche with its mmo aspects and its owpvp with rules. That's not the main trend, and that's where BDO managed to succeed, avoiding a direct confrontation with real mainstream MMORPGs

- building Crimson Desert with the good BDO assets, creating a game in the popular trend of solo games with multi-player aspects

But now, Crimson Desert is barely mentioned, and BDO is becoming more and more solo and creating strict seperations between activities. Will they either drop Crimson Desert, or maintain BDO on life support until CD is launched?

As someone who played TERA through the mass exodus, let me explain what happened.

A group of bad actors did exactly what similar individuals in this game are doing: they bombarded the developers with demands to remove the penalties for player-killing (PKing). After receiving an overwhelming amount of spam from these 100 or so bad actors, the developers decided to make it so that forcing PK on someone had no consequences.

As anyone with sense would have predicted, these bad actors camped outside the starter city for months, continuously PKing low-level players. This behavior eventually triggered a massive exodus from the game. After about 3 or 4 months, when the population was almost exclusively comprised of these bad actors—because they had driven almost everyone else away.

En Masse Entertainment reacted in a knee-jerk fashion, but their actions came far too late. By then, TERA's player count was close to what ArcheAge's is now. The developers nearly abolished open-world PvP and imposed extremely strict restrictions on guild wars. In an attempt to reverse the damages done to the playercount. However, the damage was irreversible, and those who were completely and utterly griefed to the point of quitting TERA never returned. A few years later, TERA was shut down.

So again, the PK griefers was mostly responsible for the death of that MMO.

Morons are morons. But I'd also blame devs for being so weak minded and unable to follow their own game design.

For devs, it's pretty easy to avoid pk on newcomers.

LMAO, dare goodness, and on that note, I've grown tired speaking on this topic. Enjoy, seeing a future where MMO developers start to make MMOs without Forced OW PvP. But, then that's what survival genre games like Scum, Ark Survival, and RUST are for. But I guess those are no-goes for people like yourselves. Because in those games in a 1v1 a mechanically good player with a wooden bow can can completely stomp a skillet that just grinded for 100s of hours for their gear.

Meh it is what it is.

Strange. I played TERA too. I was witnes of that camp. But I had no trouble to move away from PKers. And I was happy to fight against PKers in zones. Specialy when we were few frends together. But TERA was full with people. After the removal OwPvP (lvl capped) the servers were going empty little by little to a point where Corsair was empty too. And then I stop to play it. So you are sain that people who didnt like been PKed leave after they removed PK. Strange.

I'll simply go on the next MMORPG with this kind of owpvp, like I did with BDO. There were none interesting back then, and BDO appeared. And others will appear.

Because, in fact, I chose the right game back then, met players with the same mindset, then when BDO became popular players decided to play it without checking its features and complained when they realized they were not OK with some of these features.

You're the illogical one here, asking ME to check if players were on with the known rules (the game rules, not the player-made ones).

PS: What makes you think I don't go on other games? XD

So full of bias, seriously...
