Anywhere in the world map, you will die doing whatever. The risk is wherever you go, you WILL die. It's OPEN WORLD and PVP is PART of the game.

BDO is a war game. PvE and Life Skill have symbiosis with PvP: they are options of making silver, not a "way of life". You can choose to grind and/or life skill to make silver (or get drops) for your gear. Being a life skiller, for example, doesn't make you have special treatment in a combat zone. If you don't want to die, the game gives your the option to stay below the level that unable the Open World PvP.

When players are competing for spots in the land or at the sea, that's how GvG potentially starts. War content at its finest!

Just copy WoWs perfect instanced system - mainly BGs. Some of the things WoW did great.

Warsong Gulch, Ararhi Basin etc... all really good intsanced PvP modes as Red Battlefield here is crap. Capture the flag type BGs ftw!

War of the roses is a good way of copy Alterac Valley so more intanced, objective controlled BG would help to enjoy PvP more

Glad we agree, then.  One part, not the primary focus.  PvE feeds pvp and lifeskilling.  Lifeskilling feeds pve and pvp.  Try pvping decently with no pots, lol.  All matter, all inflence each other, none predominates.  Who said anything about not wanting to die or asking for special treatment.? The discussion was about which element is the focus.  You've explained that none are.  They all feed off of each other.  It seems like overly focusing on just one element, in preference to the rest, alienates some players and loses the primary message:  that modifying the guild decc changes CAN be done to the satisfaction of all parties.  Shouldn't we collectively focus there?

What if what we're looking for is precisely not instanced systems?

Old timers like me remember times when the map was smaller, owpvp was a reality back then and couldn't be denied by anyone, it was part of the game.

Now you barely get attacked unless you're on a popular spot, yet some players became totally intolerant to the simple thought of being attacked by a players.

BDO rose also thanks to its pvpve, if devs want to get rid of it, BDO will lose one of its strengths, without the certainty that it can compete with the real mainstream MMO market kings.

I happen to agree!  Pvp is part of this game and should not be overly punished.  There must be a way to balance the needs of multiple sides.  Personally, I would prefer to have one sided deccs with limits.

pls bring back the war system :(

I love this game but since the guild war system is gone... the game has become a bit boring, I miss the times when we used to fight and then go to the tavern together. I got to know a lot of people and funny situations through it. I have the feeling that I can no longer fully enjoy the gear that I wear now. Of course there were also dark sides to the guild war that they hunted you to "death", but that's why the strange search NPC in the Velia tavern no longer exists.

All in all the game still has a lot of potential but it currently feels so empty in the open world. You hardly ever meet people anymore, I somehow get the feeling. and no one likes to spank me anymore :( and besides, I don't have a good GS but I still want action XD

You sayin you miss me? UwU

But yeah. Removing war decs was the last drop man.

The devs removed the "multiplayer" part of MMORPG, the META is now "leave me alone while I grind mobs in circles by myself in Marni's Realm because human interaction gives me anxiety for gear that's, basically, useless and devoid of any real meaning".

Get with the times, people.

This is unfortunately the sad truth. Except for the occasional afk pathing horse trainer you can basically go from grana to valencia withouth meeting a single person in the game. great open world man. game really makes a nice impression like that. even new gamers been asking if the game is dead cuz they only ever see people afk standing on rooftops in towns but never outside.

PVP is dead in this game which means the game only has few months left until people get bored of the same instanced content.

There must be a way to balance

There is only one way to balance: adding pve only channels and 24/7 marni to all zones and increasing the profits from lifeskill to the level of trash from mobs.

Why you want PvE channel and all marni ????????????? Pve server is not needed if you have all marni, and marni is not needed if you have PvE server. Second aply specialy to you cinse you dont mind PvE griefing.
