Suggestions/Comments: this post is about the feedback forums and not the game. while I'm grateful they have a forum that PA can ignore and people can argue endlessly on. I found there to be a fundamental issue with the like and dislikes. It's based off the total number of not just the OP but the total number of likes and dislikes on all comments on the post as well. So if someone has a good counter point but the post has a bunch of dislikes on all the other comments it just silences the post and can send it back to 0 on the main forum page. The numbers are just very misleading and I wonder if it affects what PA pays attention to in the first place
If you need a the like/dislike to understand if something is good or bad, you have a problem
The problem is if an issue is really divisive and has a lot of likes/dislikes it could net closer to 0 and lead to less people looking at it. I'm just saying what they have now is a pretty shit system

With how it is now I could just post comments all the time to keep it at top of list then like my own comments and get it to 100 upvotes. It's just broken

I would argue that a topic is split down the middle, nothing should change on it. Clearly at that point the community is in no agreement on what to do.
As for bumping, if people are just going, nu uh you are, nu uh you are back and forth ignore the thread or report the people for forum violations. It is against the forum rules to just bump a post with irrelevant information or repeating the same information over and over. It is also against the forum rules to just edit your post with no new content to bump it to the top of the list.

if one good point though that has lets say 10 likes can be balanced out to 0 by 10 comments about something else that is adjacent to the topic that got 1 downvote each. that doesnt make sense to me. look at reddit, no matter how much you can hate it you can say its popular and it has to be for a reason. the posts votes are based on the OP its self and any votes the comments get just filter out the best comments out of that without affecting the OP upvotes. i dont want this to become reddit but in comparision to something better this is like a default template from squarespace. the feedback fourm could be so more but obv PA doesnt like to hear feedback so this is going to be the shittiest fourm possible

Except that is not how it works, the number next to the topic indicates how many like or dislikes there are. The higher that number the more engagement. You don't know what or how PA uses the forum information why are you pretending to understand it when they have not said boo about it?

so it adds all together and shows total engagement still just adds to my point of its broken and doesnt help out the end users using the fourm and probably if im guessing doesnt help PA either

Lot of guessing, not a lot of evidence.
