I have casted my fishing pole for over 5 minutes and I still have not gotten a bite. My char is level 49 could that be the problem? I have used this character and have never ran into this issue. Just found out it takes like 10 minutes to get a bite. This is just plain silly.
Read the event page. Most likely not a bug.
4 bites / h.... rod expires in 14 days, with 1500 durability I can fishing almost 16 days 24/7. Should we stop playing BDO and go afk for two weeks?
I didnt get any bites in 7h even im fishing guru 5 if any matters... or how rarely is get some fish on this event?
The catch rate is between 10-20 minutes, which makes the income from the event abysmal. For anyone looking to afk fish during this event, I recommend you go to a non-event spot. Until something changes about the event, it is 100% not worth to fish in event spots.
The problem is that they choose the most popular existing spots for event spots. Normally that works out well enough. But now, people have to go to unfamiliar and perhaps unprotected spots to get a decent fish table. They should have left the existing plump coel spots - and the popular spots that they used for those - as they were, and put the new events in some other spots where removing existing fish would have minimal impact. Or maybe associated it with that event rod only.
What were they thinking...
Not that it matters but Guru 35 here and I got exactly 62 Plump Amberjack in 24 hours fishing non stop.
My otherwise go-to spot for fishing bring more silver in half the time.
In this stage, this fishing event is a joke. Don't waste your time at the event spots and look for some better options to afk-fishing.
The Anti-Fishing Event if you are a Master or Guru Fisher!
Who thought this one up? Whoever it is does not Lifeskill at all.
Yeah, let's have a fishing event that takes XP off the table and allows you to reel in a catch once every 11-12 minutes. Oh! Yeah, and it cuts the silver return by nearly 60%. Yeah, that should be well received by the community.
Horribly done. Please restore the fish areas back to what they were before you brought us this "Event".
Please do the Fishers out there a favor and end this mess ASAP!
