Not sure why so, but it becomes progressively harder to use server chat because everyone and their mother thinks advertising their "brand new guild" is a great idea.

And it's really hard to just block all the names doing it - I can go through 50+ a day and it does not become even a bit less of an issue.

Please consider:

1. Introducing a cooldown for the advertisments. Per guild, not per person. This way guild size won't matter and any guild will have equal opportunity to place their ads and not be annoying

2. Categorize guild ads outside of standard guild posting as spam and allow to report it as such

3. Simply don't show ads to those who are already in a guild (or at least add an option for them to opt out)

4. Simply don't show ads from those who differ in their client language setting (or at least add an option to turn it off)

You search a guild. go on the forum or the recruitment discord or use the guild search option in-game.

In any circumstance for your mental health  Server Group and World would be toggled.

No, I don't search for a guild. I hope that devs will do something about flooding with guild ads or give option to opt out of that (well.. who am I fooling - no devs are reading these forums)

I would rather read 21,37,895,032,986 guild recruitment announcements than the vitriol, politics, sexual innuendo, misogyny, religion and other crap that is server chat in most server groups. I keep it turned off for that reason.

That's not true.  If the community was so vile and toxic Pearl Abyss wouldn't give those people the ability to grief, harass, dismount, pk, block, and DFS brah!!!

I worked for a long time with filters and blocks until i finally decided to permanently disable server/world chat.

Though I never understood why there wasn't a specific guild recruitment channel where people can opted in and out of when required.

A very easy qol fix but you know, we play bdo...

About ads, a proper use of chat filters removes the vast majority of them, it's a non-issue to me.
