There are several threads about this, requesting that this change be abandoned.  This thread has accumulated a lot of feedback, so should not be lost in the stack.  Hopefully they are looking at the totals for all the related threads together, and viewing it with some urgency.  The player community got no chance at all to review and comment on the change.  If they had, this would not have been slated for release.  It was snuck into global labs quietly, and graduated quickly, with the only reference being a link to a global labs announcement in Korean, in an announcement here with only five days lead time until the change.  

This has been far too obscure for such a meaningful change.  They need to stop now, and reconsider.

I was seriously considering purchasing a 50% off anniversary pearl-deal, but after seeing this latest stunt, why would I want to offer them money?  They're destroying the game I love.

Also, the more they delete the early game, the less players will really get into it.  If you make it all cath-up mechanics, there is no point to anything in the game except end-game.  And why play a game that has no meaning except for end-game when it takes years to really get to end-game?  I'm betting at least 50% of the players play this game for something other than the eternal grind against the sheer cliff-face that is end-game.

In the announcement for the March 20 maintenance they said "Improved tiers of some mounts" instead of deleting, so maybe they're going back on that decision? Maybe? (one can certainly hope -w-)

Given their history, to PA, improvement means butchering and deleting of content.

I just contacted them this morning just to let them know that we're taking this seriously.

Just as I'm hoping that they fix the soundtrack, restore our character's voices in full, restoring all the trade NPCs, and restoring value to the game itself.........................

As a recent return, I personally find the new horses rather garish. Why the hell am I seeing a unicorn around every corner? Kinda kills the aesthetic. Also, as noted in another thread, I literally have nothing above a tier 4. So I will have no mounts at all after this. My hypothesis for the recent missteps is that most/all of PA's top talent got moved to the new MMO they are working on, so we are now dealing with the replacements.

Someone mentioned elsewhere about catch-up mechanics. BDO doesn't have a lot of group stuff. It is mostly a solo game played with others, so there isn't much of a need for catch-up mechanics (You rush to the end game and then what? Complain there's no new content?). Instead, it could use some changes to some group activities to allow lower-GS players to meaningfully contribute. 

Personally, I think it is time for the game to get a makeover & reboot. It has been almost a decade and the older parts of the game are showing their age. This would also be a chance for the parts that have been glued-on over the years to get better integrated, punch up the questline/world a bit, get the progression curve leveled, and the economy straightened out.

Agreed. It needs overhauled for sure. I wish they'd implement the lore and class stories better. As well as have more of a fantasy feel to it. Like expanding on as well as adding various creatures in the sea (lamia, sirens, mermaids, sea dragons, ect). The siren (maretta) is just there. As far as I know there's no backstory and she just appears. Boring. Have more fantasy creatures seen in the sky (dragons, gargoyles, griffins, ect.) There's only two dragon bosses (again they're just sort of there. and one random black dragon near saunil that you can't interact with). For griffins and gargoyles they just hover in certain areas. I wish there was more immersion and less catch-up. Because as you've said, you get the best gear. Then what? There's not really any reason to PvP so what do you really need gear for? To grind? I mean I guess, but that gets old really fast. 

I also am not a fan of how the t9 and t10 looks. I'm not really using mounts anymore myself. On Drakania it doesn't make sense to use a mount anyway (being a dragon). As for Tamer, she has Heilang.

Solution Take  picture and pretend it died of old age. Or maybe BDO should allow you to turn it into a Statue or a Trinket you can Display in your Home or Mansion.

Not wanting to rain on the parade................. BUT..........

PA was ruined so much for me that I cannot wholly trust them.

They said that a different process will be undergone, which means they're up to something that might not be good.

PA:  Leave the horses alone.

Leave the tiers alone.

Buff their stats, and prices.  That's fine.  UPDATE stuff.  Make it relevent again.

DON'T delete stuff.

I'm tired of you making bland what was once a rich world.

OK. Them turning all the horses into the black T6 was not what I expected.

At least I don't feel bad about imperialling a few of them yesterday before I saw the updated notice.
