About to lose our first horse

all my tier 1-5 that i kept because of their looks. i can delete them all now!
i want my old horses back. i don't want a tier 6! i hate tier 6 horses. i can't stand them. i'd rather run around with a tier 3 or a donkey if i don't have to see a tier 6.
i'm not going to spend money on looks just because they're now ugly black horses that are on every corner. BDO is no fun for me anymore!!!
seit 2018 spiele ich das nun schon und jetzt wird mein erstes pony, was ich von BDO bekam, in ein scheiß t6 schwarz geändert. nein, so habe ich keine lust mehr das game zu spielen oder pferde noch zu trainieren. t6-t10 ist ein witz. wo ist da die herausforderung, wozu brauch ich noch ein pferd? es gibt brunnen, löscht doch gleich alle pferde oder das ganze spiel, mit all den änderungen ist es schon lange nicht mehr BDO, sondern ein anderes game.
das aussehen ändern nichts daran, denn es ist ein T6. kein T3 oder T2. die spielweise ist anderes. aslo ändert es nichts an der tatsache die farbe zu ändern! t6 ist von haus aus ein mieses pferd!

So when a ticket was created asking what happened to your t1s, they asked for more information? Seriously? They're the ones with that information. What, did they expect us to have screenshots and records of everything in the game? Isn't that what the game itself is supposed to do?
I have the names alone. So they just wiped it, eh? No backups anywhere to peek at? Wow.
As for how hard it would have been just to leave everything alone and make them t6s: it should have been as simple as changing one item from old tier to new tier, and leaving the rest as is. But it sounds like their systems are poor enough that that sort of thing was not possible - ? Gee, maybe they should have worked this out on global labs first, then checked their plans with people before messing things up. Instead, they rushed their revised plans with no advance notice at all. I got the impression from that last minute announcement update that they were going to work out another way and then post that. But no, they just went ahead and slapped something out there. Catching many people entirely off guard. Again.
That sort of thing would get most people fired if they tried that at their jobs. But since there appears to be a monetary upside for them - hey, let it fly.

The strange thing is, they could have easily done exactly what people wanted. They've done it before.
3F (A Tier 3) is currently a T8 appearance in the game since I returned. So it is not out of PA's ability to have changed those horses to T6 without altering their appearance. Maybe in the case of the 3F it was different since it wasn't a specifically "owned" horse but instead them pasting an existing skin onto a later tier. But I just don't see why this wasn't something that could have been done with the owned horses too. Was it really out of their control to be able to copy over all of the existing data of a single horse onto a higher tier variant of that exact appearance? If their system was able to read that mine had an appearance change already and was successfully able to copy that over, why wasn't it able to read the existing patterns in the same sense. (I guess this might come down to how their system reads appearance, the difference between a real pattern and an appearance changed one). Or is having done any of that too much work and they didn't have the time to do it?
If they had given more warning than 5 days... people could have given feedback sooner and a less hasty compromise could have been created. And some people may not have sold their horses off already as they wouldn't have been as rushed to handle it themself. All and all, it's very sad and unfortunate all around. Some people (myself included) it worked out more or less for. But for a lot of people this has been handled devastatingly and pretty heartbreakingly too.
Many people have still lost their horses. Whether it was the fact the appearance is now blockaded by a paywall. Or they sold off their horses after the first announcement, unknowing there was even a chance of saving them.
Some have lost their horse entirely… as I still don't understand what became of the poor T1s and T2s........ I’m hoping at least that one is just a bug that they can resolve but… It may come down to each person who had this issue having to manually send in a ticket one by one and having them personally restored :c (If that is possible).
Ventessa and all of you who were horse trainers like me and my daughter - I offer my condolences. I had almost 150 horses in the process of Breeding, training and Imperial delivery - all ruined by one fell stroke of negligent thoughts by PA and their clueless Design Team.
Giving away Tier 9 Horses after making us work so hard just to get Tier 8 Coursers - seemingly was not enough to belittle us and make us all feel like our hundreds of hours of work was for nothing !! No, that was not sufficient to punish us for playing BDO. They had to actively go in, take our horses, destroy all of the work we had done. Take the years of careful selection of what horses we kept, what colors, levels and types we crossed to get our foals - all of that destroyed. When, as Ventessa and others have pointed out, all they had to do was expand the Horse color charts so that all of the colors are available at every tier. Such an easy fix, why did PA NOT do this?
