Current Issues:

Once two characters are tagged, even riding a horse would give experience that is shared between tagged characters, effectively locking the tagged characters until the Player switch to collect the experience. Having to switch to collect the experience is already annoying on it's own. But as if this was not enough, if you do not collect the experience with both tagged characters, you will not be allowed to untag. This is where things get really F*** up...
If you intentionally keep a character under level 50, this becomes a big problem. The broken experience sharing system will not allow to collect all the experience exceeding Level 49, until you unlock the level 50. And if you happen to need that character to stay under level 50, this forced experience sharing system will effectively lock your character forever, permanently, with no other option but to unlock the level 50, to untag, then delete the character to remake another character that could stay under 50.
As a reminder, sometimes characters are important, or have premium content that one does not want to delete. This ridiculous experience locking code is game breaking, seriously damaging our gameplay and causing us losses.

Suggestions:

1. Allow collecting the experience from any of the tagged character.

2. Allow an option to ignore collecting the experience voluntarily

Urg this is something I was worried about. I have two shais that are both about lvl 36. I was thinking of tagging them together but leaving one at 49 and taking the other beyond that point. Have a lifeskill shai and a combat shai (same thing I did with tamer). But I specifically haven't done it yet because I was worried about this exact issue happening.... I'll prob just not tag them, it wasn't really necessary or anything I was just thinking of doing it incase I later decided to take the 49 past that point and delete the other Shai. Then it'd have all the exp from the first.

Thanks for making this post before I tested it myself >.<! I hope they do something about this and very quickly, because anyone trapped like this can literally not use the Tag system anymore until this is resolved... Or sacrifice the character they specifically wanted to leave at 49. At least you can send in a ticket it seems but would love for this to have a more smooth solution.

It's too bad we can't just 'pocket' the exp on the 49 and then untag them. Like, use the exp when they decide to as like a consumable. Similar to how you can extract energy on your alts to be used on other characters.

While I get your point, and I was also burned by this when this new tag system first came out, there's absolutely no point in tagging to level up if you want a level 49 character.  400% exp artifacts and you can level yourself to 49 in about 30 minutes.  Or have someone powerlevel you to 49 in like 10 minutes.  Or if it's gonna be a fisher, don't level up at all and just let the fishing level you up.

Also, in the event that you did tag, you can submit a ticket and they will untag you, but do this while you're still level 49, do NOT complete the level 50 requirement.

I leveled a character from like lvl 12 to 58 in 10mins via the tag system before, using Marni's Realm. It wasn't about tagging to lvl to 49. It was about tagging incase I decided to go past 49 on that character if I did not want to keep the 2nd Shai. Then all the exp I gained on the 2nd shai could be sent to the 49 that I was keeping when I decided to go past 49. If that make sense... Like, if I was going to lvl 1 shai anyway (not quickly, but at my own pace, just to enjoy playing it and taking my time with the journey) but then decided I didn't want to keep it because I would be lvling my 49 version onward after all, then it could have the exp instead. I was just voicing a specific idea I happened to have that was technically related to this issue, but would have only became a real problem if I decided not to take that lvl 49 onward. I hope that makes sense xD

And yeah at least the ticket option is an option instead of being totally stuck forever!
