PA has successfully implemented very half-baked concepts of what would be considered fun for PvP. AoS is about as close as we can get to somewhat entertaining PvP but it has major flaws. The rest of the modes are laughable at best. If you're not geared, you don't get anywhere. It's caused a lot of people to quit the game as they aren't RNG carried or have already put thousands of hours into the game to be competitive.

GvG League: Dominated by Siege guilds or Top End geared guilds, even if you're rated insanely low you will go against them due to the matchmaking so they can farm you at spawn, name call, and ridicule you in chat.

RBF: Basically you're put into a blender to be munched by the highest geared people.

Nodewars: Close at lower tiers but alliance politics and gatekeeping ruins the whole atmosphere/spirit of the mode.

Can we get a true PvP Battlegrounds mode that is

- 10v10 or 20v20

- Equalized Gear so people can frag out on close to equal grounds.

- Available and easily accessable for new players.

- No Gimmicks (Power Ups, Capture Point Debuffs, Consumables, etc).

- Maps that don't have random stuff your character gets stuck on while moving.

- PvP Rewards, GvG League has the right concept when it comes to rewards.

Agreed.  War of the Roses could have been good if it were a 24/7 persistant faction war, not run by guilds, lol.  Nobody wants to be a punching bag for one seige guild's amusement.

More easy to join up equalized modes would be great, there is a post recently that brought back up the idea of AoS gear styled RBF mode without the gimmicks as you said.

Getting people in and used to the combat system with as little bs as possible is ideal given how insane it can get on the higher end.

I'd love a variety of matchmaking modes that would be actually fun and not just frustrating or tedious to even get involved in.

False. AoS is as unbalanced as all other pvp modes in BDO. How many Archers have you seen in the AoS Top100? Oh yeah, not even one. "Balance".

Porting AoS gear system into RBF and GL would be nice. The current new modes that get so much development space mostly cater to the voicy uncapped-gameplay player subset who was angry because of OwPvP changes. And now, again, as expected, there is a small subset of players overinvested in the game mincemeating everyone else, making these modes playable for a small playerbase.

And before the "get muh gear troupe, I worked for blah blah" jumps on me, I mean converting SEVERAL (unused anyways) RBF battlefields, not removing the unequalized ones. And making separate equalized GL bracket. Of course, now the troupe "I have muh gear and I want to force ungeared players to play with me, so that I can mincemenat them, bcs equalized gameplay where I do not win 100% of the time is no fun" will jump on me now...

I do not blame the devs for many things, because I see how difficult it is to satisfy this kind of playerbase, while retaining some new players.

Well, okay, but class balance is another topic, you see...

I have 750 gear score, but I primarily play AOS not only because of equalized gear, but mostly due to the current damage meta and class balance. To survive CCs, not healing to 100% in 1 sec, not dying standing up, etc. It's not perfect but feels so much better to play tbh.

Uncapped wouldn't be so bad, if they

1. actually balanced classes (alot of classes need  nerfs) and

2. dying standing up in literally two skills no matter your gear useless you are almost hardcapped, play the 'right' class and run every buff available in-game

Okay, I'm gonna give you a full all in one response hoping you would understand but knowing you won't.

First of all you can't really buff archer in small scale fights without nerfing him at the same time. Currently Archer holds the title of being go to large scale class, with little knowledge you can make really crazy impact in large scale and if you have really good knowledge then you already a menace to kill.

WHY can't you buff Archer small scale without nerf? Because in large scale once you on archer's nose they pretty much dead well that's mostly because playerbase of Archer is mostly know only how to press 1 2 3 4 5 and kill while having absoletly 0 knowledge about how to handle a 1v1 or small scale. The ones that I know who knows how to play Archer in small scale is compelete menace to kill. Norzen, Tenebris.

You give an example about solare archers being sucks not being in top 100 but so far there isn't any Archer players that I ve seen can pull their weight. Norzen at season 2 was munching he hit 1800 with 25 games then quit playing bdo idk what happened but what I know if that 25 was 250 he would ve been top 100 because yes he is that good.

Now let's discuss how solare works or any small scale pvp works. Small scale fights is the fights where individual skills are reflects the gameplay most so if you are really not good at the game you will be getting crushed by everyone else.

Rule number 1, being able to take care of yourself. Don't die/grabbed in 10 seconds of the fight buy enough time for your teammates to make a play. Also just because ur teammate called a cc doesn't mean you have to go attack that guy like a zombie, look around first.

Rule number 2, use ur mouth, it's free, it's helpful. Biggest strength you can get in small scale is using the mouth. Let your teammates know your situation. If your stamina low use your mouth let your teammates know that in 10 second ur be out of stamina and you will be in the ground...Don't be that dumb guy who pops anime music at background and dies in 15 seconds then goes to the forums and say my class is sucks. Instead communicate.

Rule number 3, don't be side character of someone else. Be the main character. Don't use your skills randomly like braindead lobotimized vegetable coma person instead use them according to your need. But you can't use your skills according to your need if you don't know what other classes does so learn other classes and use your skills accordingly.

Now the question is does Archer qualify for the rule number 1?

Yes 100%

The real question is are you qualify for rule number 2 and 3?

No, I don't think so.

So my answer is to you, get good.

RBF (replace with "pvp in bdo"): Basically you're put into a blender to be munched by the highest geared people.

Thats what bdo side feature "pvp" is about in this game.

I feel like they get close to what a good mode would be but then ruin it somehow. Either way, people who are geared should have a mode if they want to frag out with 730+ GS but the people who are well below it should enjoy pvp as well without the need to getting blown up in less than a second.

It seems so simple yet here we are. We're lucky to even have AoS at this point.
