Black Desert will begin in a moment.

Install the Black Desert Launcher if the game doesn't start.

Just some ideas as it would be awesome to see more pvp content. such as more area style modes similar to Red Battlefield  for example combine the gear selection from Arena Of Solare but applied to Red Battlefield style arena and also more types of arenas, such as 1v1, 3v3, 5v5, Free For All, Capture The Flag, just to name common types. having both ranked select and choose gear and using own gear. 
This game has super fun naval combat and has potential to be a fun and different approach to PvP adding a ship battle arena or anything to PvP related ship combat would be mind blowing.
lastly queueable node wars like gamemodes that you can que just for practice or make silver but add more game modes that you can que into such as capture the flag, last man/team standing, both in both select and choose gear and own gear and make Red Battlefield rewards match the current silver market.
anyone else wanna see stuff like this? what are your thoughts?

Naval battle would be great. But for that they have to make proper naval architecture. Working water, waves and specialy colisions. The game also need PvP modes like RBF with rewards that are close to what you get from grinding. It needs meaningful OwPvP.

But changes they making are going away from that direction. Should we hope is the question.

i disagree on the "need" part, you wish rather.

BDO has plenty modes, if anything PA sould focus on them cuz many of them are poorly designed.

Large scale naval battles would be EPIC! It'd be really cool if there were joinable pirate factions or something. Fight for treasure (loot). Have naval patrols from various kingdoms which would function like guards. They'd be enemies of pirates or lawbreakers (red karma). Capture territories out at sea as well as islands. As long as your guild or faction holds the area you reap the rewards. So guilds would have to work together to hold an area for your faction. It'd be similar to Node Wars. You kill enemy players or npcs of the opposing faction you get tokens that you can spend on various things. As well as level up your faction and rank. The higher the rank the higher the rewards. Large monsters (most of them are small. I think the biggest is Vell). More enemy sirens with Maretta being significantly bigger and more difficult. She could summon more sirens to fight at her side. Large sea dragons. It would give more open world PvE and PvP options. Enemies briefly becoming allies in order to bring down a big beastie, than become enemies again to fight over the spoils. Spread out the population a bit. Those reasons would actually give players a reason to PvP as well as working together for the sake of your faction.

But they'd have to rework the entire ocean for that to happen...

An instanced naval PvP arena would be awesome.  No sick sailors, plz.

Unlimited rations, unlimited cannonballs, no repairs.  Teams of 3v3 or 5v5.

They'd have to level the playing field though.  1 person with nol is going to beat 3 people with no nol.

I never tried it, but is this concept similar to GW2's WvW mode?  IIRC, (idk much about it), it's a persistent PvP server where people drop in and PvP over objectives in a team/faction (?) based setting.  Sounds super fun.

Yes.  Dark Age of Camelot did it best.  Also, ESO, & Aion.  Pvp kill count adds points that can be invested into improving your character.  3 faction best for balance.  Factions who took xx forts in Dark Age were given access to the best dungeon in the game.  There, the winning faction had to clear out the left over enemy players but the enemy could not reenter.  It was a blast.

NO.  No guilds lead.  People show up as part of a faction.  balancing with 3 is easier than with 2 since the 2 losing factions can ally.  Also, PA could give advantages to the losing side dynamically.  Others have done it very well - Dark Age Of Camelot, Guild Wars 2, ESO, Aion...
