Family Name: PabloJH

Region (NA/EU): EU

Suggestions/Comments: Lafi Bedmountain's Upgraded Telescope is a treasure item added with the newest region, Ulukita, whose parts are obtained in two of the highest gear-required places in the game, City of the Dead (recommended ap of 310 and dp of 380) and Tungrad Ruins (recommended ap of 320 and dp of 410), the latest having the highest lower-cap for total ap (meaning that, if you don't hit that lower cap, you will do little to no damage to the enemies) of the entire game, which means that you need both endgame gear and expensive buffs to grind there properly, or even start grinding there.
When you hit these requirements, you have to spend hours and hours, even reaching a hundred or more for each place, just for a chance that you drop the parts to craft the telescope, but the final reward is just... not that good.
The telescope gives you the ability to teleport you to a guild, party, or platoon member, which sounds really good and rewarding for how much you have to grind for it, the problem is that:
1. The cooldown is too high.
2. Compared to other treasure items, it seems lacking.
The cooldown of this item is 10 hours for every time you teleport to another player, which allows you to use it once, or even twice a day, just for a teleport to another player which is mostly useless unless the other player is waiting for you to do any activity or you want to quickly move to whenever they are, as you know where the other player is before teleporting.
Compared to other treasure items, it only provides one effect, which I have already explained, but other treasure items like Lafi Bedmountain's Upgraded Compass provide more than one effect. The compass gives you the ability to teleport your whole party to your location, meaning that you can move 4 players with the use of this item, but it also gives you a passive ability that, while being carried in your inventory, you can see your location in both the desert and Margoria sea, where you usually can't see your location or use your map at all, the active ability having a cooldown of 10 hours and the passive ability not having any cooldown, so it feels rewarding just to have it as you can see exactly where you are at any time.  All of this while being obtainable at way easier places to grind.
Knowing the difference between both treasure items, the telescope doesn't feel rewarding at all, and doesn't give you a real reason to grind for it more than just having it because you're a treasure collector.
Considering this, my suggestions to improve this treasure items are:
1. Simply reduce the cooldown of the ability
2. Give another use to it
3. Both
As stated before, the ability is not really that useful and it's not used at all, and having no other effect like some other treasure items do makes it feel lacking, so my first suggestion is to reduce the cooldown to 3 hours max, so you can't spam it and move around the map at any time, but being able to use it more often if required,, and then for my second suggestion, giving the item a second use, I have 2 ideas that could be great:
1. Being able to find another player: This ability would come with a cooldown of at least 20-30 minutes, and would tell you the region they are at the moment you look for them (if you are in the same channel), not the exact node like the actual use of the telescope tells you, and would also give a proper warning to this player, something like "the gaze of another adventurer is upon you", so they know they've been searched. This was the usage of the black coat man at some inns, which was removed some months ago because players were harassing others with it, but giving it a proper cooldown and a proper warning to the player being searched could make this useful for those who have the telescope, or could be a reason for more people to go for it, without endangering other players that could feel harassed as they could move away from where they are or simply change channels, and as there would be some cooldown for this, and it would not actually tell you the node but the region the other player is, they could feel safe for at least some time.
2. Giving youself, the player you use it on, or both, a drop rate buff: This would be a 10% drop rate buff at max, and it would encourage players to obtain it, just because having it gives you better chances to you or another player to get better loot for a certain time (this buff could go from 1 hour to 3 hours or more, being the cooldown the same duration as the buff or maybe 1 hour more than the buff lasts).
These changes would encourage players that can grind those endgame spots to get the treasure, as the item would feel rewarding in some kind due to how hard it could be to obtain it.

Your suggestions are bad.

1 is a grief tool

2 makes the item mandatory

Its hard to make a suggestion that isn't plain bad or that doesn't make it mandatory.

Mine would be:

with it, if you mark a monster in Knowledge it will also glow like a quest monster in game not only on map

Finding players is a function they just removed because it was used for griefing.

Drop rate makes the item required. And they want to avoid that after the infinite pots.

Something related to knowledge like adonaj suggested could work

Alternatively. since it's whole thing is taking you from 1 spot to another spot far away, maybe they could make it passively waive the magnus fee. Kind of like how the compass waives the cost of buying new ones.
