WRONG.  Plenty of games have amazing communities that are incredibly friendly.  In fact one I visit commonly has people suprised at how welcoming and helpful the community is.

My spouse doesn't play the game with me either.  Not because of the PvP system, at least I give you credit for supporting them.  How many times are you getting killed?  I am still sort of new and I haven't been killed all that much.  You can stay safe at 49, the game tells you that much.  Safe is boring.  I remain aware of my surroundings, most attacks occur in certain areas.  PKs have red names and easy to spot.  Yesterday I shadowed a PK from the Northern Neutral Zone to the Western Guard Camp.  All the time I was thinking, maybe they are on autopilot?  When I do get attacked, I can normally escape them.  The few times I died was from real life distractions.  Such as, phone calls, people asking me to come see something, and food.

I don't think AFK players should get killed or be valid targets.  If I was into PKing, I wouldn't enjoy killing AFK players.  Where is the fun in that?  If you AFK train or fish, do it inside a safe zone or find a remote spot to fish or train.  If you are active in the game, make your own path, and remain alert in the areas most PKs tend to hunt.  

To any and all player killers, many you really need to get out of this rut.  Killing AFK players on the fringe areas or lobbing cannonballs at the beach of AFKs fishing is really not cool.  You need to start thinking outside the box and do things that require a real challenge.  Killing someone who is not at the keyboard is just pathetic, even an NPC would put up a better fight.  Yes, I am telling the Player Killers to get good.
