This is legit the single most balance breaking item in the whole game that negates almost everything about ship combat.

Compare it with other treasure.

Both infinite pot got a substitute of normal pot which is exact same effect. Zero difference in combat

Infinite map and compass is just utility. It offers zero benefit in combat.

Ebenruths nol makes your ship invincible under the right hand. 

It negates any current effect.

It absolutely delete valor weakpoint compared with volante as you can just boost head on and trade shots.

You can escape any single losing engagement. 

Your evasion gets extremely impossible to hit.

Positioning won't matter to you since you can just easily breezy and reposition when you breezy to a bad position

Basically it offers pure combat advantage with zero substitute available.

I am open to suggestions on how to nerf, but this current state is just ridiculous

Probably make it so that your breezy cooldown doubles if you choose to use it. 

Or reduce the extra breezy speed to be less than normal breezy.

This item is just imbalanced. Period. Only way you can realistically fight a nol is with a nol


P.S.: If you never actually fought a nol and doesn't have a specced combat carrack please keep your optinion to yourself. I'm talking about game balancing not about devaluing achievement or some bs like that

I agree that its a kind of super-power, much more effective than any other treasure item in its unique utility.

It would make sense if this item only worked when the boat is at 100% health. 

Get one then?  This is like begging to nerf every top end item...because you haven't gotten one yet.  Vell's heart is a strong item.  It doesn't have a substitute...it doesn't need nerfing...you need to get one.  It's just salty nerf begging top end items...just because you don't have one yet.  Maybe they intend for you to keep trying until you get it?  This game is all about the struggle to get those top end items...you are wasting your breath begging to invalidate the point of the game.  I don't have one either btw...just saying.  Seems like we have a new generation of nerf beggars..."this is OP", "nerf this", etc...as I see at least one familiar name here going around various forums doing that.

If naval combat in this game was fun I'd agree, but naval combat isn't fun. It clunky, prone to desyn issues, most the time it just someone sinking an unmanned or auto-pathing boat, boat do zero damage to actual characters or land mobs. And to top it off there actual zero purpose to naval PVP, your not fighting over grind spots, bartering can't be contested, there zero purpose to boats in NW or sieges, and because of the other listed reasons it just not fun.

Do you actually know what's ebenruth nol is or how do you get it or what it does???

Vell heart you said? It's a freaking 11 bil item that you can change with upgrading your acc/mainhand or caphras your weapon or even not use at all. It only gives 4 AP. You can get AP anywhere in the game easily and 4 AP increase isn't gamebreaking. As of right now there's 13 vell listed in MP and it's not even max price. 

If vell's heart give 100 sheet AP, is not sellable on MP, and the droprate is decreased to 1/1000th of the current droprate then you can bring vell's heart as example

A single item should not hold such a huge power discrepancy

These are another list of issues PA have to work on, and I would absolutely be pushing for actual fun content and fix the freaking janky mechanics. If they just fix the stupid codings which made them cancel the blue battlefield, naval combat could be fun. 

But nonetheless, it still doesn't change the fact nol is just broken. Even if they fix the desync issue and increase the render range etc, that item still is broken asf

You are complaining that someone worked for many many months, not got lucky with RNG, but actually worked for months has a slight advantage?  OMG He's wearing armor and I'm not he totally destroys me, is the equivelant argument.

Sorry, I don't have a Nol, I don't plan on getting one, but I also think it shouldn't be nerfed.  Stop being jealous. 

Yes Nol changes combat way more than infinite potion or a compass. But check how many people got a compass or the pot and how many people got the Nol. It is way harder to get one and it shouldn't be just a let down after you grindind xxx amount of hours that's probably like x3 more than that you need for a pot. Nol is perfectly fine because of the high effort you need to put into it to get one. I could say like people who have Fallen God Armour should take it off in PVP againts Dim and Red Nose users because a DUO Fallen God is like a PEN Dim C20. They worked for it hard, why should they get nerfed for it?

Clearly reading your nerf begging OP, if i didn't know what it was, I would now.  I never said it was easy.  I did say get one and stop crying about those who have gotten one.  FYI, vells heart is a big thing...but yes it is available from the MP.  It is big enough to put you into another AP bracket by itself.  Is it as difficult to get as a nol...no, but I didn't say it was. I just listed it as an example of something that is not the easiest to obtain, but requires some effort to acquire. Grinding, life skilling, lucky drop, etc.  Instead of begging for items to be devalued...to diminish achievements...put more effort into getting one yourself.  I personally have no desire to get a nol...as I find ocean content impossibly boring, pointless, and very inconvenient.  There are several items that I want, that I have to put time and effort into getting...like finishing my grind for the last part of my infinite hp pot (not available on the mp...and a significant grinding/pvp benefit...as it frees up having to be weighed down to have an adequate stock of hp pots...making me not have to choose between being ready for owpvp and having to empty my bags frequently while grinding).  You could even say that the infinite hp pot isn't a standalone item...that getting a T4 fairy with maximum miraculous cheer is a part of the infinite hp pot grind...as that is how you make use of the infinite pot fully.   That does not have me begging for the pot to be nerfed or the fairy to be nerfed.
