Hello!

Most of the regions that BDO currently operates in has servers phsyically located within that region, one exception to that is Oceanic, which includes Australia + NZ.
With Pearl Abyss now taking over the game from Kakao, can we please get a local server within Australia?

In the last "What's Changing" post there is a section relating to support across large regions in which it talks about the ways theyre planning to try improve the service for the two large regions, NA and EU. Specifically point 1 talks about improving the netcode to reduce the effect high ping has on the game and while that is a great step forward ultimately there is going to be a limit to how far that can go, especially with a combat system like BDOs.

In the same way the NA region is both NA+OCE in BDO, The game World of Warcraft has a similiar set-up, however Blizzard runs local servers in both regions. It still has complete crossplay between the two continents, players from US servers can party up and play with friends on the AU servers and vice versa, with the game moving all party members to the party leaders home server.

Is there no way for Pearl Abyss to do the equivalent for Black Desert?
Give us an Australian local server and add it as its own server channel set, within the NA region. The game was released 5 years ago and we're still forced to play with 200+ ms and for a lot players the high ping is why they never play it for very long, or in another common case, why they never it play at all.

High ping sucks :(

I sure you could get a few hundred thousand more players if they just did this....

the australian and new zealand players have a dedicated bdo server... it's called na... we weren't important enough for them to use intelligence and allow us to play in lower ping servers, so we got region locked across the world.

maybe pa will allow this by making an actual change, but it's a bit late, and the oceanic servers weren't up to na/eu last time i checked. maybe they finally caught up, but dunno....
