We're already buying costumes for more than double the game's price, why should dying them also be locked behind the paywall?
Whether you're buying dyes outright, or buying Value Packs or Merv's Palettes, you're spending money on a service that is free in basically every other MMO on the market.
Dyes used to be able to be purchased using loyalty points up until a few years ago, too, just before the color wheel system was implemented.

I think that, as a community, we deserve better ways to access a major aspect of this game. We just got the ability to spend silver to speed up worker processes. A feature that was locked behind real money transactions.
Players are going to buy value packs, regardless, and this would just give a large portion of the community more room to grow.
I know more than a handful of players that don't want to play without VP to color their costumes with, so they don't play until their order is filled on the Central Market.

Suggestion:
I want a way to dye my clothes that doesn't involve paying real money or waiting on preorders.
Perhaps we can get a way to spend silver to buy dyes or Merv's Palette. Maybe give us a way to craft dyes.
Or maybe a way to craft a ticket that allows you to use the color wheel for a costume piece(similar to those one-time use coupons to edit your character's face/body), so it engages the player. People like to play the game, and they like to work towards goals! This could be another quest like the Patrigio's Bag weeklies.
Another potential option could be to just give us dyes back in the loyalty shop. I'm aware that a single day of Value Pack is in the Loyalty shop for 2800 loyalties, but that's two weeks of playtime for 24 hours of just Merv's Palette for some players.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to consider this.

Permanent dyes boxes for loyalties would be a huge W. Great suggestion!

I agree. Permanent Dye boxes for loyalties for each individual outfit would be nice. Though holding a value pack subscription cost over a player to keep their dyes that are not done with dye boxes is an excellent way to get pearl transactions. So I see both views here.

By rights at least, outfits directly bought off the pearl shop should automatically be dyed for free infinite times.

And some time/grind gated means to unlock perma dye for other outfits one by one.

yes it absolutly should be already included with the high costs of the costums. At least give the players without VP the option to buy mervs pallett for 1d with Loyalities and then let the last dye versiopn be permanent until changed again, instead of reversing back to the standart coloring

Yes please. It sucks to log in without a vp and see all my characters looking so lame, would atleast like a way to earn or create perm dyes.

Dyes applied via Merv's Palette should at the bare minimum be permanent. You should only have to purchase a Merv's Palette if you want to change the dyes.

Absolutly make it the same way as the Character Appearance... if I dont have a VP Appearance wont change back to the way it was on creation, so why is the dye?

And to be real, the main reason why anyone would want a VP is the tax reduction. Anything else is more a nice to have. So it wont cut deep into the VP profits.
