Remove Crystals Breaking Upon Death

Here's how I would fix this problem: Instead of losing crystals;
-3 random pieces of equipped weapons & armor will lose 10 Maximum durability.
This way, when you die, instead of losing a *random* crystal within the price range of 90m to 4550m, you lose a maximum of 100-200 million in the form of memory fragments.

This does two things: It makes the loss of silver from death consistent, (or at least far more consistent than it is now,) and puts more demand on Memory fragments, making the pieces of content that provide those much more relevant.
(Boss Scrolls, World Bosses, Atoraxxion, etc.)
So it's a win-win for most players; Those that die to monsters no longer get a 4 billion silver fine slapped across their face, and those that do other forms of content that reward memory fragments profit more from those activities.

This still wouldn't encourage just running it down against monsters, but at least the penalty would be capped to a certain extent, and not be "well I guess I'm perma fucked until I get my Girin back."

Yup, to this date, after endless discussion in the mega-thread currently standing third across all suggestions with most likes and reactions, I fail to understand how PA can still preceive extremely-punishing crystal-breaking to be helpful for their game.

If I happen to lose the most valuable crystals while grinding the flame in Yzrahid and when I am out of restores (currently -1 restores and 4 bil lost, half of it because of server or game mechanics not doing what they should), I am taking a break until they do something or restores are renewed. And sometimes a half-year break means a player does not ever return, as they are not attached after this time. Great mechanic for your growth.

And no, handing out few ultimate combined crystals via event from time to time does not really help.

Or they can rework crystal restore system from 3/4 per year to 4 per month without expiration date to restore them, that will be helpful and not against players.

Removing them will make crystals worthless in price, they have designers devs etc so they can come with ideeas to be voted as we complain about this system, loosing expensive crystals means hours of grinding again to buy it and its not fun at all.

I do not think I am alone here when I say, we don't care if the crystal prices become worthless.  Console does not have crystal breakage and they are doing just fine.

It's a money grab for them.  They place short term revenues above everything else .

This is another problem that will be addressed way too late (as in years). This development team is incompetent when it comes to major problems like this. You could grind for 5 hours and make no mistakes and then right at the end make one mistake or have lag and there goes the previous 5 hours.  It drives me bananas the only solace I have is this is a publicly traded company and they are doing terrible because of these types of decisions which drive players away. I just blew up a billion crystal which made the last two hours of my grind worthless. They increased cron prices and destroyed open world pvp; now all of the whales who spent money to force their wallets down all the f2p players are gone, which makes it impossible to buy crons. On top of all this there is no moving up to 1 shot spots as it is not worth it. You make one mistake and that will be at minimum 5 hours of your time gone. Do not spend your money on this game everyone needs to hold, their earnings have to plummet then they have to actually listen to players. Terrible, terrible development team. I am glad we got student outfits though?

PA added p2w item to increase limit of crystal restoration. GG with that topic, you can already forget they will remove crystal breaking.

More yearly restorations means nothing. It doesn't address the core issue that PvE isn't enjoyable when you aren't fighting mobs that are challenging. Fighting mobs that are challenging does not make you as much money and the cost of regression on death is something only an out of touch corporate shill could defend at this point. 

Main thread has almost 5k interactions at this point and PA intends on keeping their head in the sand rather than making this mostly PvE game have better PvE.
