Inspired by the Sage's, what seemed to me, "ancient greek god"-aesthetic, I portrayed the Sage in the pose which reminds of the sculptures from Ancient Greece: simple but stable contrapposto, with his original robes simplified (and covering his glorious legs, sadly). Since I love the way Greek myths were depicted in the late baroque/rococo period, I decided to place lush flowers and greenery around the sage, with a dark background, which were most often used in the periods. All done in traditional oil painting technique to give off that authentic feel ever so slightly. Clumsily photographed and edited in photoshop.
Well done!
