I'm a fairly new adventurer, can only play a few hours a day. With this new Hammer of Precision event announced, I was excited! The accessory enhancing J Hammer has been kind of a myth up until now. The problem is, the requirements to get it are 200+ hours of Family playtime, lvl. 61 character and having compelted the Mediah questline. I have done the questline and have two 61+ characters, unfortunetely though, im like 40 something hours shy from the 200+ hours of playtime requirement, so im stressing out now. My question is, if i manage to hit that requirement after the Hammer is launched in game, will I be locked out from getting it? I read the announcement saying characters that meet the requirements can obtain the Hammer upon login during event period", but im not certain what the event period is, being that it only mentions when the hammer will be available (April 3rd - November 17th). Does that count as the event duration, therefore, i have that ample time to hit the requerements or am I not getting it? Thanks for attending to my anxiety attack.

Hi there, 

the notice says that "Characters that meet the below requirements [...] during the event period" can claim the hammer. The event period goes until the 27th of November (using ASIA as a source: https://blackdesert.pearlabyss.com/ASIA/en-US/News/Notice/Detail?_boardNo=6055)

That means, as long as you meet these requirements at any point during the event period, you will be able to claim the hammer upon the next login. 

I hope you will be able to get these missing 40 hrs until the end of November :) Then you will get that hammer for sure.

1. This hammer shouldn't be there just like the one for weapon/armor enchantment. Such items disrupt the game economy and create even greater disparities between players. The entire system based on rng and luck, which thanks to hammers gives 0.01% of players true end game items is terribly bad because why playing when a free hammer from the event gives us best items.

2. Allowing trading with this hammer is absolute madness. The richest will be even richer because they will buy a unlimited number of them, and additionally (see point 1) the accessories market will be disrupted.

If you would start to AFK fish a bit, you will get these hours in no time. One month has approx 720 hours. Cheers.

It is the final 'money = gear' step. I understand why you would be upset. It's also a cool 50b for people who want it, so it's going to shock the economy. I dunno how people can lack the foresight and are selling theirs for 40. It's obvious (maybe I'm wrong, but I bet I'm not) that it will be max soon.

At some point, they will be depleted, but I am sure they will be given again.

The accessory part is the only reason why it is wack. I honestly did not know for sure if hammers worked on accessories, but now that I know they do it's like aiyeee. If they only worked for gear, it would make a lot more sense. The accessory blowing up and downgrade is the only thing stopping people from brute forcing max gear.

Also you can tell by pearl shop stuff, stax n dim hungers that they are gonna juice this. GL everyone with buying your pen accessories w/ real cashhh.

The whole problem with this hammer is that its price is 25-50b so it can only be used to enchant deboreka tet to pen (i.e. it is useless for 99% of players).
So the conclusion is the same as I wrote earlier: this is an item only for the richest players who have deboreka tet accessories and now they can try to get the pen for half the price and with a guarantee of no drop in the accessory's lvl.

It's also 50b for any player haha. All new accts get 50b. It's going to shake things a lot. If pen non debo stuff stays around 50, then that's a free pen whatever. Add that to all the other free pen stuff, and you have gear-ish. You're right it's gonna be for the pen debo people, and that's why it will go max.

It's a big deal, but they made their choice. I do wonder as dude said about making new accounts for a hammer. Would be risky to try to pass it off, though.

Some people may just use the hammer regardless. It's whatever.

I sold mine for 36.8b and I've managed to make meself labreska, dahn and c10 shoes 2nd pen jetina and exalted vell so it's pretty good for me. Waiting until November so that it can hit 50b which is higher price than the crons you use for tet -> pen debo is not ideal because on EU there's like 20-23k players and maybe only 1-3k are on endgame gear and maybe only 1k have at least 3 trillion silver....with the market being almost 2k hammers most probably it will rise to 40b after it will stop today or tmr at 29.9 or 27b with like 4k hammers and maybe in the next month(s) will reach 10k.

Just set up afk fishing for when you are not playing the game.  The playtime does not mean active playing, you can just afk fish, earn some passive income, while getting your required hours in.  You'll hit 200hr in no time.

Yeah, the caveat is if it inflates all of the prices back to where they were, it was smart to sell it now. I personally think it will settle back in.

Think about the cost of the crons, the fact that you have to get the costumes, and the fact that you can't downgrade or blow up. They already have dim hunger / stacks on the pearl shop. I think you underestimate how many people are sitting on ridiculous silver. Whether they come back for this is hard to say...

Still, if the prices do rise and hammer stays the same or goes down, it will be less worthwhile to sell it, which will discourage people. We'll see what happens. There are a lot of moving parts. But yea give it thru the weekend and we'll see where we are at.

My VP is about to run out, so I won't be around much longer, buut I am def watching this. Market stuff is one of the few interesting parts of BDO, to me. It'll still be running monday!
