Is this not something they had an understanding of before? I've heard from others that they'd restore crystals, through customer support, in events like this.

If not, then I can say I'm wrong in my position on this.

Predatory? To who? I'm pretty sure there aren't little fortnite kids who don't understand how a cash shop works playing this game. encyclopedic? Not really. It's organized well, and  a lot of it -especially with class costumes- is repetitive.

iMaGiNe thinking the production of a game the requires the employment of hundreds of people shouldn't get any kind of income to be able to continue it's production and support. These people aren't volunteers.

One thing I know about my own job is that you can only give so much. As soon as the people of my profession ask for support in return we get shit on like we're the worst by the same people who once considered us "essential". 

Ya'll can downvote me to hell, but it's true. PA needs to make an income in order to support their employees and in turn those employees can put to use their creative talents and in turn, give us an even more rich environment/gameplay to take part in. J isn't the ONLY one creating Black Desert - it's a team of people and if you think they're going to continue doing it for nothing, you've got a lot to learn about how a business operates.

Crystal breaking was an original part of the game - it was part of the game to provide challenge and invoke strategy and tactics while fighting. It wasn't like it wasn't there and then they added it. I'd have a totally different opinion if that were the case.

Must be new to make an argument like this or severely out of touch. Crystals didn't use to hold the fraction of power that they do now back in the day. Nor were they so expensive or hard to obtain even including inflation.

I can't imagine defending even more horrible Pearl shop additions when they could just stick with optional cosmetics, rather than monetize an outdated shitty system. Paypig mentality. 

I already admitted I was wrong on the cashshop crystal restore. 

I still think PA needs to make their money someway to keep this game going, otherwise we all lose. They won't continue to do anything with this game if they don't get anything from it. Cosmetics are completely acceptable, some of the items meant for convenience are acceptable as well. I can see now why the cash shop crystal restores is an abuse considered they don't restore them upon lag-death.
