Thanks.
Can I please ask that by "improve" you mean a quick, timeless transition? Like in the good old days of last week?
If this "improvement" was done to stop R spamming though stories....................... write them better.
If I'm doing business with an NPC (which I'm still glad we still can....... wonder when the simplification process will delete any need to interact with NPCs........) that I deal with all the time, I don't need to read what they say. R spamming is necessary here.
Have to say that nowadays, when I hear PA is going to "improve" something, I shudder.
Here's a list of "improvements" that had made my experience less immersive, pleasant and enjoyable:
Soundtrack Implementation
Zombie Walk Animations
Barren Distant Landscapes (thankfully rolled back)
The sound of silence from my characters doing battle, sometimes up to 10 seconds
Fewer equippable defensive/resistant crystal shards
No more dealing with NPCs for lifeskill quests....., no more immersion
The trade system, and not being able to trade with any traders outside of cities. (Being rolled back.....maybe?....)
Continuous key-input being shut off after a minute. Makes riding fun......
Fewer rift bosses, with the ones I really liked getting the boot.......
No more boss scrolls, which I liked doing........
And this is just off the top of my head.
Classes are still imbalanced, story-writing is still poor quality, real immersion mechanics are being replaced for QoL and endless pushing for grind-grind-grind at the latest, hottest, spot............
This game was awesome. Still kind of is. When I start thinking about how great it used to be.......... the fun dies.........
"Improve": there's that word again.
Don't "improve" - revert.
Also, stop "improving". Don't ever use that word again. Use something more specific to the change being made. You may find that the real word describes something that you shouldn't be doing. And there's a list of other words that you now habitually use that should also be dropped.

... which tells me exactly squat. Note the abuse of those terms again - "streamlined", "improved" - and their complete meaninglessness.
Revert this. Period.
Agree with practically everyone in this thread. The new UI is 100% shite. Please revert the change or add a setting to disable the fade animation.
any sort of compensation for the thousands of energy points ive wasted over the past few days?
Dislike the faded effect and wish it hadn't changed. positioning is fine for me on a 1080p monitor, not much change.
- Simplified the opening animation of NPC dialogue, quest, and exchange windows.
From ASIA notes.
"Simplified". Describes nothing. Another abused word.
Tired R-spamming...... seems to work just like the old days....
So, good job, PA! You fixed what you broke!
As for immersion.............
R-spamming has its place. If you want people to appreciate dealing with NPCs........ interesting.... because you're trying so hard lately to negate any need for NPC interaction................... so why you did this is............... I don't get it.
If you want people to not R-spam quest dialogue........ just make it interesting and worth reading several times.
Hire good writers. That's all that's needed. People might actually want to pause and read. Oh, and make doing quests more rewarding, for people taking their time to do them.
