Lol what? It was always like this. Back then we did grind with elex. Shared spots? Sausan was a bloody battlefield cause nobody wanted ro share beside maybe for pulling some guildmates.

Thanks for agreeing on the fact people were sharing back then. As I said.

No where in the definition of mmo does it state players are required to play "together". The definition very clearly means an online place where people can exist at the same time in the same space. Lots of players, including myself, got into bdo because of how we heard how welcoming it is to solo gameplay. No, this does not mean we want to play a solo game. It means, we want to exist in a world where other players exist and our progression is not locked behind group content. It means we want to have the choice to progress alone and the choice to progress together when we see fit.

Most mmos force group content to progress. For those of us who want it as an optional feature (not removed, optional) don't have a lot of mmo options. We want there to be group content. We want players to have forms of pvp. But we also want to be able to log in and play alone when we so choose. That is why bdo (despite its flaws) continues to be the best mmo to a lot of us who still play it. Because it has attempted to be 'all inclusive' to lots of forms of gameplay. It doesn't execute this perfectly, but of all the mmos out there currently, it does it the best for the features I’m looking for in an mmo.

A lot of players are misguided by how "most mmos" do it. They think because most mmos force group content that all mmos need to force players to interact. Bdo disagrees (thankfully).

In all honesty, I don't even know what this Olun ring is. But if it is something all kinds of players want and it is locked behind group content, then I agree that should be changed, not the mindset of the players.

Is this about group content or being "forced" to do something you might not want to? Youre talking out of your ass, you don't even know what merchant ring is and you're commenting on its availability? This reply and OP want everything handed to them on a silver platter probably because BDO is giving so much free shit recently

It's amazing how everytime someone wants to debate how something is obtained people always go for the "you just want a free hand out." The developers love people like you, who encourage meaningless/endless grind that is designed to waste your time. You're so desperate for group content, people like you would honestly defend anything no matter the absolute logic that stands against it.

I don't need to know anything about the ring to stand by wanting everything in the game to be obtainable in a variety of ways. Part of the reason I don't know about this ring is because it is locked behind group content. Also, I just came back to the game after having not played for years. There are a lot of things I don't know about that have been added since then, that doesn't mean I can't give feedback based on what I understand about the item. Are only those who already slaved away to get the item allowed to talk about it? Didn't know rules like that existed on the forums. Or are YOU now talking out your ass by implying I can't give feedback because I don't know enough?

As I clearly stated: "IF it is something all kinds of players want" then I think it should be available to obtain by all kinds of players. Knowing the details of the item isn't going to change my viewpoint on that.

Anyway, I gave my feedback on it. I'm not going to debate with someone about whether or not I have the right to do so lol. So don't expect another response.

Well, it is a widespread trope across societies, so it is not surprising that people in online games tend to play the "so you want it for free" card so often without much reflection over and over and over and over again... When someone responds with this trope, the only certain thing is that they did not think this through very much and most often, they did not even try to listen.

- "I would like our country to have affordable housing. Even for clerks, office workers, manual laborers, not only the top 20 %."

- "So you do not want to work; you are lazy; you want everything for free; we worked for our housing so hard; you are spoiled; it has been like this forever and it worked so well (for me, disregarding anyone else); you want to destroy our society (game); etc."

BTW I think that people who go for the Olun piece suffer from borderline self-harm, so I am not pursuing it even though I already got 3 ring pieces by sheer luck while pursuing other goals. Still, I do not see sensible reasons why the single piece (out of all treasure pieces) should be locked from solo-focused players. There are players who take care of things like family in their life and they cannot wait for hours for kiddos to make their mind while forming groups. For people who cannot play for 3 hours straight, the ring is dead content. Excluding some group of players from getting a single item, while they can get any other piece, is just silly.

Note;

Hi,

I have put in my time in Black Desert since 2017, and like other Korean MMOs that I've played since the early 2000s, the main thing is that I can log on and do SOLO content, not have to wait around for groups or try to create group content.

I have 4/5 of the Merchant Ring pieces, and lack the Oluns piece. This is locked behind group content, which I do not partake in. Also the trade method to obtain it (although maths told me it would take 20 years on average) was removed with the trade removal, which also had a great loss of silver per day to do efficiently. I do feel it is neccesary to include a soliatary method to obtain it.

Many players, like myself, will not partake in group content, especially when the community has decided you need to be perfect and use elixir rotations and other things, which seems to exlcude the average player from joining.

When will a solo option be arranged for it.. or at least during the treasure event that changes spots for obtainable potion pieces, also include Merchant Ring pieces?

Don't feel I'm alone in regards to an insanely long treasure piece needing a solo method, group content adds other obstacles and time constraints. You can't just log in and hit stuff for the time you have free...

Does it need to change, or do I?

alot ppl doing solo normal one

(people love enforced group content ) look hoow freindly ppl are in oluns when they decide to not take short route instead take full rotation  and find some 1 like me grinding solo oluns

That would be great. UI for interacting and finding a party for oluns is bad. Make new solo dehkia oluns with 2x less money.
