Honestly, besides the few actual fights I see going on sometimes, I don't know what the goal is anymore. Usually when I run into someone on Arsha these days while I'm grinding, it's someone looking to grief my hour for their amusement. If I kill them, they'll usually leave after 2 or 3 deaths. Personally, I don't like it.

I like arsha when it's for competing for resources or coming for an actual fight and not just to kill someone running 50m in buffs with no pvp addons, buffs, or crystals, and a lightstone set that is actively a hamper to fighting another player. But the former is pretty much dead, so the purpose for doing these types of things are purely grief fueled. That kind of behavior had a place in the early days of bdo, I think, but now it's just weird. I really want them to put the universal presets in the game and let us swap everything at the touch of a button, even if you're in combat and including buffs. Save my pve buffs so they don't get wasted when I swap. Put a cd on it to prevent abuse.

I literally wrote a whole paragraph that exposes the mental gymnastics you're playing to dodge my question.  But I deleted, 'aint got time for that.

Your constant deflections and avoiding me calling you out for lack of evidence of your baseless claims tells me that you've got no horse in this race and are merely peddling a side-show act of bafoonery.  I refuse to take part in that side-show.

So unless you provide some evidence that backs up your claim, this conversation is over.  Because if you don't, you're proving to me that you're just circle-jerking this forum with deflections, lies, made-up scenarios, speculations, semantics, hot air, ignorant statements, and avoiding an honest discussion.  I'm looking for an honest discussion with honest people.  So if you can't even keep it 100, I'm done replying to you.

Yeah, that comment wasn't even worth replying to.  It's very clearly an underhanded, bad-faith arguement based in ad hominem that makes everyone who reads it dumber.  And it was from someone with a private forum account, of course it was.

I replied to the actual question posed by HammerJho.  That other dude you're replying to, everyone who's ever tried defending BDO's PVX roots have heard what they're saying before.  "You don't go to arsha because you can't club baby seals".  Uhh...yeah dude.  I do go to Arhsa.  But even if I didn't, Arsha is completely different than normal server - PVX server with rules.  Arsha is PVX without rules, normal is with rules.  Like, hello?  Can't you see the difference?  Guess not.  It's such a dented argument.  But producing such a dented argument kinda makes sense if they can't even tell the diff between PVX with rules and PVX without rules.  And further, can't even begin to extrapolate how gameplay experiences can vary between the two types.

You then proceed to post PA financial statement, which is totally irrelevant to what I said. I made no statements about PA's financial status, I made a statement about BDO being just a business venture for them with its objective being to grow and bring in more players. PA is a for profit business why would this not be the objective for their business venture? Furthermore as I pointed out, you do not have any information regarding BDO internally, only PA financial statements. You then further go on to take out of context what I said by saying:  "Do us a favor and find 2023 - 2024 profits or revenue graph, since you're the one claiming they're "bringing in financial success" like you said."

But I never claimed this, I actually said this. "Businesses don't change things that are bringing them success financially." In other words a company doesn't commit financial suicide on one of their projects by changing things they know is bringing in money for it. Very different than what you allege I said. Furthermore its not my job to find their profits, since I never said they were profiting. Like I said before, I didn't mention PA as a company, you did. I mentioned BDO and the overall objective of their project.

To your credit, you did seem to acknowledge that I didn't say they were thriving but once again proceeded to word twisting:  "They are looking for growth, identified owpvp as one reason they are not growing, hence the change" "That quote.  OK you, didn't say "thriving" but you did say Pearl Abyss "wasn't growing hence the change" --- so show me evidence.  I showed you direct, tangible evidence that PA is 100% NOT growing." The first thing is you removed a word from what I said, which changes the context of it. What I did say was "Remember to them BDO is not a game its a business. They are looking for growth, bigger numbers and likely they identifed the openworld pvp system as one of the reason that they are not growing."  Removing likely makes it seem like I definitively know the reason, which I do not. I said it was highly probable that it was the reason, hence the likely. In addition I never said Pearl Abyss was growing hence the change. Once again, I mentioned BDO not Pearl Abyss. The two are not the same. BDO is Pearl Abyss's business venture not the company itself. 

Lastly, through out this interaction with you I never resorted to try to personally insult nor disrespect you in anyway. 

From your words and steam charts BDO is not growing. Yes you assume. Its only that. And there is not data from the past months. Also PA income are BDO and BDO mobile. They dont have other games. Only cost for making. And since 2022 was rrealy bad they maybe work only on Crimson Desert.
Its funny how you assume, but when someone try to back up its word with facts you start to back up. Peace is right - you have no evidence, like you just admit. And of story and move on more constructive discussion?
Im realy curious how they went with income. The lost players, and I assume that many players are unhappy with PvP changes and stop paying. Also I doubt that PvP haters start to pay more to compensate... But there is no real data. I only assume.

The "baby seal clubbing" argument is even more ridiculous when one can easily realize that we want better rules. RULES! With possible pk AND WORKING PENALTIES AGAINST ITS EXCESSIVE USE! With penalties against rude and repeated ks too! With penalties against any excessive behavior, in fact.

Right now, in the end, a dedicated griefer takes no risk while the occasional offender may lose an enhancement level. 

BDO should include gradual and working penalties against pve and pvp griefing, while leaving some freedom. With a good set of IG rules, devs and GMs wouldn't have to interfere so much to solve conflicts.
