I remember a few events then nothing.  Is it being reworked?

As they say in the old layer:

Good Riddance.

I wish they'd make one server a 3 faction server.  Higher drop rates and ability to advance your character through faction points.

There was an announcement saying that the devs intent to change and update it, and it will be discontinued until it comes back (or not..., looking at you Savage Rift and Altar of Blood):

Why not give all the players a shot at all-out war?  Niche content will never catch on, and is not worth dev time.  I really like the idea of continuous war servers.  Also, if you could choose a faction to join (Light v Dark as an example) and leading factions could get perks, like an exp buff or drop rate buff, it would give players incentive to join and fight.

Could introduce players to open world pvp and make them develop a liking for it.....

You and I talked about this a while ago...

If you forgot i told you it was DOR- Dead on Arrival

Too many buffs, too much advantage for one side.. no one likes getting zerged and with lagg and Dsync to no one wants an extra Siege event

PA continues to do as they please and are completely ignoring the player base making very costly changes and content that fizzled as soon as it was released.

Everything they are doing is out of sheer panic trying to throw everything they got at things in hopes it sticks while ignoring everything they got rid of that were fan favorites a real good example of that is "Shadow Arena" this was a VERY POPULAR game mode when they announced the magnus EVERYONE STARTED TO CHEER at the ball thinking it was Shadow arena coming back to BDO to be officially Mocked by that idiot Jayhee kim who can't figure out any direction to save his career.

You can't make a game mode of 300 v 300 with unstable servers, piss poor coding... Backend networking reworks that are desperately needed and over 6 years old.. with D-sync that our glorious Idiot of a game director just found out about in the middle of a ball a year and a half ago and had to be explained what it was on stage.... yet after a massive failed Siege were Koreans for the 1st time learned about something that the rest of the world already knew did that jackass finally decide to look into it...

Their response.... Each class has too many hits on skill use ?!?#?$#$?#$?%?$% <--- literally me blowing a gasket and the final nail in the coffin that PA is totally clueless and does not even in the least pay attention to anything that anyone is saying outside a VERY SMALL CIRCLE OF KOREANS (most likely less than 10).

The conversation that you and I had was pertaining to the PVP changes in BDO and the long term effects one of which is participation in the community.

This also included what was going to happen to the market once the PVPers started to leave.... Everything is coming to pass as I said it. I also said that BDO as a whole has about 12 months to correct it before it will become irreversible. We are almost at that point now and look at what is happening in the game..

NOT much fun anymore is it?

Well some of us are still having fun, but I agree that PA doesn't know what it's doing. NO strategy, no plan.  I think there were far more surgical ways to deal with the abuse of the one way deccs.  INstead, PA did what PA always does when they encounter a complex problem : gut the entire system.  Simplistic and wrong.

The obvious way to go with PvP in BDO is a slightly larger scale RBF format with meaningful rewards. Could be some clever, rolling, war server, but could also be a few more maps with 50v50.

I think PA look at RBF and think it's unpopular because there's usually just one server in use. But it speaks volumes for how popular drop-in structured PVP is that after zero content updates for years, no meaningful rewards, and effectively 1 map, RBF is still in use.

It turned out to be trash content so they stopped it.  1 sided, did not work as intended, unballanced, exploitable, and laggy to name a few issues.
