Housing Rank System Hinders Creativity

Family Name: Blakeborough

Region (NA/EU): NA

Suggestions/Comments: Since the introduction of old moon furniture workshops, I've thoroughly enjoyed decorating my residences. I like to look at other people's residences for inspiration and genuine curiousity, but all of the top houses are wall to wall chandeliers and furniture. If I don't stop at the entrance, a majority of the time I have to escape after spawning into someone's furniture. Although I understand the competition of acquiring the most points in housing to reach #1, I feel that it hinders creativity. Especially for residences in high traffic areas like Heidel and Velia, a lot of possibly interesting homes with creative effort put into them are overshadowed by the top 15 who have invested heavily in chandeliers.

My proposed idea to fix this is to have an additional ranking system based on player "likes" or voting system, as well as a random housing view tab. The original ranking system should still be present, since I know how much people have worked hard to get a high score. The second ranking tab would be more community centered and allow people to throw a "like" to the creative homes that were previously outshined. The random housing tab would randomly select homes in that residence that currently cannot be viewed on the ranking systems, that way people can visit random hidden homes and give them likes for a chance to end up on the additional ranks.

Also, I wish we could view stranger's manors too, rather than just our friends/guildies/party members.
