I can not find an Exit Button in the Server Menu. How can I close the game? Shuting down the computer in this state is not realy good for the SSD and may lead to data loss!

What? Just push esc.

Also the game is running off ram /vram(volatile memory or random access memory for the acronym) not your non volatile memory.. aka ssds/harddrive. Who told you rebooting causes a ssd to lose data thats false its non volatile memory(does not get wiped when rebooting)... That goes for sata an nvme(litterally non volatile memory express).

Only time ssd /harddrives get used is during loading sequences and when your going into a new zone. Not sure why you would think it would damage your storage.

Probably he meant disc fragmentation, because BDO have party-files system of game resources. Remember to SWAP memory, Windows always use HDD/SSD for dynamic backup of RAM memory. Since Win10 he use it much more...

BTW. In Server menu you can only quit game by ALT + F4 or shutdown by Windows icon + Close app by taskbar menu

Thats if you dont have enough Ram. Still wouldnt be affected by a main menu (game doesn't initially load the heavy assets till first loading screen into the game only character model when you get to the character screen)unless your heavily under the requirements which you probably cant run the game at a playable state at that point either would assume you would have major physics issues :|

Hitting ESC does absolutely nothing.

I have 128GB of Ram and a 4 TB Firecuda SSD on Win11E with all uptodate drivers.

A friend of mine has the exact same problem, so it can not be my computer either.

Any qualified help on this?

You can't quit the game from the server selection and/or char selcetion!

And the question is? why do you want to?

Just select a server, log on to a char, and close the game like everybody else does. (ingame press esc - select - and "Disconnect")

You arent caching the to your ssd.

Your ram means nothing. No CPU  an your ssd depends on model 530 afaik is fine an has alot of writes which is 1Petabyte iirc. Your Windows 11 Enterprise or Evaluation Copy means nothing. Outside you spent more money on something that has zero impact on gaming and video editing an so-on its designed for the enterprise space...

FYI :

Alt +F4 does the same thing, as people have previously stated.

If your going to prove you know about hardware for future reference do something like this:

CPU:AMD Ryzen 5900x@5.1GHZ(all core)
RAM:G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32GB @ 3600mhz cl14
Graphics Card:Sapphire RX 7900xtx Nitro+
SSD:Samsung PRO 990 4TB x2
PSU:Corsair HX1200 v2 1200w
Monitor/s:Asus VG27AQ-165HZx3(for lols)

Windows 11 Professional x64(means nothing)

Also trusting people online to be professional probably not the best thing to do. Your accounts from 2017 so i wouldve assumed you already knew bdo has been like this since the start...

Also what i said at the start is factual an you can even check chatgpt or research your self. This will not kill your ssd being in the main menu an having to yurn your pc off. Hardresets dont damage electronics like you think. Otherwise computers from 80s would not be running to this day outside of the capactior plague which you can research..

The computer is not from the 80s and you can pretty much assume that you maybe have to work month for it to get some hardware like that.

A missing EXIT or QUIT button has also nothing to do with hardware, or an SSD, or with your grandma´s cat. It is just a missing button in a game menu. Also does a missing button also not have anything to do with my accounts age.

So, stay focused. When you dont know a professional answer, dont answer.

So maybe it is a bug or Devs just forgot something. It can also not be I have to log in first so I can exit a game. I want to exit it from any menu, all the time and anywhere. Just simple writing code.

Mods. Please delete that, moving to bug report.

Thank you.

... You said in your main post it damages hardware.  Also i have a Diploma ICT Technician. An have 20 years experience of IT in general.

You have some serious issues.  " Shuting down the computer in this state is not realy good for the SSD and may lead to data loss!" You said which is completely false.

Shutting down a pc does not cause dataloss it can cause a small amount of degradation at worst to a ssd which in fact you would shave off maybe 2 seconds of the ssds life...  If you did the smallest amount of research you wouldve known this you would also know  there is a character selection screen which you can  click disconnect or even pushing alt+f4.  I recommend you use chatgpt before posting anything IT related.

Also my pc is basically the best you can get for gpu an cpu isnt much lower than current top end. So get your facts straight before making up bs.
