Greetings Pearl Abyss,

After trying the manor, I think of something that you could do to make the manor a better place than a cosmetic place for players.

1) I love the new cooking/alchemy bonus quests; they're really, really good. The only downside is that we must come to Liana to turn them in. And the new quests will not show up if we don't turn in the current quest. Therefore, I hope you can let us turn them in through Black Spirit. This would help the manor owners enjoy cooking/alchemy at their manor.

2) I love the processing outfit. We can process out of the storage without picking the mats out. I hope PA can do the same for rented storage (the 10CP one). And also, could you let us process from anywhere after Magnus? The thing we can only process in our city makes people stick to some cheap CP city (Velia, Heidel, Calpheon). This makes the game boring. Meanwhile, you could let people process in other cities as well. Some of my guildies like O'draxia for hunting and cooking, but they have to switch to Heidel just for processing.

3) I love Manor's decoration, but some of the hitboxes is too large, or some don't make sense. For example, we cannot put anything on the red carpet. That is why if we wanna put a statue in the middle of the red carpet path, there will be a gap (small or large, depending on the statue). This makes the manor look uglier. As a cosmetic place, we should be more available to customize anything we want. This can also apply to normal houses. I believe we will have more creative housing thanks to this.

4) I think I am not the only one who thought about this. But I hope you can let us put fences inside the manor. And the fences will be visible to visitors when they're in Manor. It's okay if they're still invisible outside. This could give the people many ideas for decorating their manor yard. Also, give them more reason to come to their manor than just be chilling there.

5) I hope you can let us visit other players' manor by searching their FamilyName. A beautiful manor deserves to be visited by everyone!

Thank you for reading all of this. I do not believe we could have these qualities of life. But I hope PA will help us enjoy our manor more. Pearl Abyss, you are not using the manor content for its full potential. You could have made it powerful content for housing enjoyers. I was so excited to decorate my manor that I tried gathering lots of stones to make furniture. But when I tried to cook/alchemy there, I realized Manor was missing a lot!

If you are interested in manor decorations, feel free to add friend me in the game. I would love to observe ur beautiful work as well :3

Edgarius.

+1 If you want to rearrange your garden, it's a mess.... There should be undo/redo buttons as well. :|

Thank you, my manor lover fellows!! And yes, the undo/redo buttons are a good idea, too! Its a pain to take out something because the big trees cover the small things below :((((

I've been miffed ever since I discovered that the LoML manor has a summon NPC feature while the Heidel one does not. Both are so out of the way of convenience for actual use and you need to pay silver for them, unlike the more convenient CP residences (okay, they have an initial cost, but it's not a manor's cost and it's a one-time payment until you reclaim that CP).

I want a robust and convenient home like what I can make in FFXIV. That's why you put it in the game, to attract people like me?

Context for those that do not play Final Fantasy XIV:
They come with a front yard where you can grow crops (size of the plot dictates how many gardens; the sparkly plants here are crops on a medium plot) and multiple floors. Small comes with two stories (ground and upper) while the medium and large have three (ground, upper and basement). Regardless of the size of a plot, you can 'hire' NPCs that will sell you goods that are otherwise found in NPC shops in cities. You can also craft a 'summoning bell' (retainers - this is your storage) and place them around the home at your convenience (this is in my large; one NPC for the basic materials for crafting, one that sells gear repair items and the summoning bell between them). The only thing you cannot do is visit the market board from your home, but they are placed frequently in districts - this doesn't matter because BDO has central market maids. Most players that own homes are crafters and where they will do most of their work, making item acquisition extremely convenient.

This is brought up to show how lacking BDO's manor feature truly is. Considering FFXIV's housing is extremely limited (9,000 homes per server), they've put in a lot of care for a feature that only a few players get to enjoy.

+1 for the great suggestions.

Another point of frustrations: manor and residential furniture cannot be collected back into inventory if their hitboxes overlap with other nearby furniture/objects. This often turns a 5 second job into a 5 minute teardown of nearby decorations.

Would be amazing to see that collection restriction go away.

My main problem with manors is that they are underwhelming design wise. It's insane that the heidel manor is smaller than half the houses you can get in Grana. Even the like four floors house in heidel is cooler. So you got the outside customization thing which is cool but inside it's pretty dire. They should look like the most amazing places you can live in. There's not even a second floor anywhere.... A manor should have at least three floors and possibly a basement even.

Anyway imo everything seems to indicate that in the last few years that they have really stopped caring about housing in this game. Two tiny houses in ulukita. Two in Loml (both manors i believe? but one is so small, or maybe its just a regular house that one). Only a few houses in Eternal winter and Odylitta. And, not counting manors, the last time a region had any housing outside of the main city was Kamasylvia ... all the way back in 2017 (to be fair, yeah having a house outside of a city is a pain unless you have loads of maids and even then you still will lack important npcs around). That's without mentioning how they havent put much care in the houses designs since at least Drieghan. In heidel or calpheon or valencia you have so many housing options and while some designs repeat, theres a LOT of different types of houses, a lot of unique ones.  Im saying all this because i think it's unlikely any feedback concerning houses will be listened to, unfortunately.

EDIT: I said above last time we had housing outside a main city was kama, i forgot the lumber camp in Drieghan. There's two little houses there. I actually always thought if they had to put a house in the wild in drieghan it hould have been the house on top of a hill that'S straight north from that camp. There's a great view.I wish i was in charge of housing in this game, I'd have the map littered with houses in very cool, scenic locations. Including manors. There's no good reason why by now there shouldnt be at least one manor per region.

Now that is how the manor in BDO should be, except the limit 9000 per server!!Love those ideas from FF ^.^

OMG I totally forgot about this when I wrote that suggestion XD Yes!! Agreed 100%. This should be fixed as well XD I had to tear down the whole garden (I had like 20-30 tiny flowers) to put the gazebo back in storage. IDK why those tiny flowers interfere with the gazebo at all, lol.
