So when it came to submitting my information for the transfer process, I placed my nickname within 'name' of Account Details, as there wasn't any prompt for first name/ surname. Now I notice in Account Details there's a small icon indiciating 'this cannot be changed'. So my question is this:
Is my real name required for this section, or is a nickname sufficient?

A nickname is sufficient; however, you can choose to use your real name, which helps to verify and authenticate your account ownership should you have future issues. (Read that as, if you are a serious gamer, and you treasure your account then I would advise using your actual name that matches your billing records)

- The name you entered when signing up for a Pearl Abyss account is a nickname. You do not need to put your real name.
- You will be able to change your account name at a later date when the function has been added.
- You can change your forum display name at any time through My Page → Account Information → Profile.
Thanks for the responses, people, I really do appreciate it! As I said, I only saw 'name', not 'First Name' and 'Surname' that I would ordinarily find when filling in account details, and wanted to clarify as to whether my real name was required. Thank you for clearing that up!
And Andaro, I'm an Early Bird, been playing on and off with very long hiatuses over the years, but got back in over the winter after the Calphe:ON announcements. So yes, my account is very precious to me ;)
