When you released the orange glasses, everyone loved them and wished they were dyeable. Instead of retroactively giving the ability to dye those glasses, you released 830 pearls worth of the same glasses with a dye-able feature. If you are going this path for a blatant cash grab like trash companies like Gamigo, I have started doubting that the future of BDO is very bright.
This is just another item on the list of garbage you have been pulling this year. Great job!
Exactly.. are you serious, PA? (These are those two different sunglasses)
Yep, I about fell over when I saw that in the Pearl Shop lol. It shouldn't surprise us though considering how things have been going lately. Lack of content, removal of others, unfinished half-baked classes, DOA content, re-vamped (destroyed) Node Wars, lackluster Heidel/Calpheon Balls, lame events, ect. The future of this game is looking more grim...
The sunglasses should have been an event reward or included in the new summer outfit boxes and been dyeable. Seriously, how hard is that?
The design is a lil' different. It's less fancy on the more costly ones. The cheaper ones have a design added on the top right(character's right) lens. As a person who's regularly sitting on top of pearls, I got them. They look okay. The lenses are dyeable but not as high in opacity as the original ones so I like the original ones more still. I hope they make the other ones dyeable on the lenses. They look better overall to me and they're cheaper.
Shoot, the glasses are the least of the grabs. 12 different patterns on the "exclusive" outfit at $22 each. 5 "dances" - character bound - from $2.20 to $9.60. The glasses are "only" $8.30.
All of that - all of it - should have been part of one package for say, $30. The outfit patterns should be selectable. As it is, it's $264 to get all of them, and then you will "want" 12 Patrigio's boxes for them. The dances should be accessible to every character - and really should have been given away, perhaps behind some nominal quest lines. The glasses should also have been gifted.
They aren't even trying anymore to connect this stuff to the game immersion or player involvement. It's like being a game is a bad thing. If only they could finally convince us to just ignore everything and give them our money. Well, they've come a long way towards that recently.
And yet - people are buying. Which means the next round of this is going to be worse. Won't stop either.
So, yeah. I'll just stand back and watch. At least it keeps the servers running - on someone else's money : ) Too bad what remains of the game that doesn't feed the cash shop will suffer.
They are doing this so that you forget about crystal restoration coupons, fairy & pet systems, weight, and so on. Then they "fix" it, and you get that tiny dopamine hit that they listened to you, while other core systems remain woefully hostile.
I'm also sour about these latest releases and their focus on cost promotion and lack of cost effective bundles for collectors.
