Suggestions/Comments:  I am a returning player that has played the game off and on over the years on three different accounts. The first time I was as confused as one would typically expect with a new game, tho I typically learn systems in games faster than the average player, we were all much less knowledgable than now obviously. The second time was on console where learning to play the game with a controller and the things that changed since were a bit more of a struggle, but I started back then because someone I was talking to was really into the game and that's how we bonded. Now I am returning back to the game on PC after getting over the loss of all those pearls from the first one that died with the data transfer (Account tied to an old email I couldn't get new emails on, so I never registered it happening until it was too late.)

This time, I returned much more overwhelmed. I know PA wants to make the game easier to entry for new players. I think one way to do this is to make the quests a bit more on rails until you talk to the black spirit about it and unlock other quests. Most people just R thru everything now, but when you have all the new quests all overlapping each other, you can lose the plot even if you are trying to pay attention to what is happening. Ideally they can find a better way to tell the story as the lore is quite interesting in the world, but most people do not know about it. 

I think if all the quests you could do at first when selecting the original starting location were only the vanilla ones from the release it would feel a bit less overwhelming. It's very confusing when you have all of these mixing together and have stuff like people thanking you for stuff you haven't done yet and then treating you like a stranger after you have done future quest stuff for them etc it feels very jarring. 

Maybe having it be like it is now, but a toggle question at the starting to lock or unlock things with the Black Spirit there to unlock or lock if you change your mind would be good. I just want to experience everything again and what has been added since in the order they occurred. I know most players wouldn't care about this, but I do think it would help with the feeling of being overwhelmed and just quitting that happens to many new players. Not enough to solve that issue, but enough to do some damage to it.
