Suggestions/Comments: Hello. I have played this game on and off for a while, and while it has seen improvements in most areas, the one major blow has been the shift to a more player vs environment (PvE) style of game instead of player vs player (PvP). I have heard complaints long ago of people wanting a dedicated PvE server, but it seems they are trying to make every server a PvE server instead.
I was never very into PvP, in fact, the large gear disparity bothered me. It is quite frustrating to face someone much stronger than you, however, that frustration turns to motivation as you try to reach their heights, thus I mostly play PvE with the hope of getting better at PvP encounters. Now that those encounters are dwindling, my motivation is going right along with it.
This is also ruining the natural feeling, player driven environment that the game had. For instance, one of my earliest experiences with the game as a newer player was trying to cross a bridge to reach my quest objective, however, I noticed a small group of people standing close to the bridge. It turns out they were trying to cross the bridge as well, however there was another group of players acting as gatekeepers at the bridge, killing anyone who tried to pass. We had to work together to find a way around them and this experience motivated us to get stronger and become friends. It was a fun moment of dynamic player storytelling that wouldn't exist without PvP.
Everyone now autopaths without problems, PvE without problems , and this lack of friction is making the game much more dull.
Black desert is unique for a lot of us because of the PvP, not PvE. All massively multiplayer online games (MMOS) have at least decent PvE, but almost none have the type of PvP support that Black Desert had, making it the main draw. The sterilization of PvP will stop Black Desert from standing out among the crowd of other MMOS on the market. In fact, some other MMOS are more generous with PvE loot and gear progression, meaning if people are looking at playing Black Desert for only PvE, then there are better options that are less punishing. There is no better options for PvP players, so I urge you not to take away what makes this game so unique and the main driving force for many of us to gather loot and enhance gear. Give the people who don't like it a way out such as dedicated PvE servers with reduced loot, but keep the PvP aspect consistent throughout all of the major servers. I hope you can support your dedicated PvP playerbase instead of hurting them in the future.

And what's stopping you from going to Arsha? Everything you just mentioned still happens on Arsha.
Or are you advocating for unfettered PKs of people who just want to be left alone? These arguments are just that, people who want to be able to bully people. If open world PvP was as big as the loudmouths on this forum claim, Arsha would be completely packed. That's clearly not the case.
Sure, but the natural environment offers no real sense of challenge or dread that used to make the open world so exciting. Now one can grind anywhere or do anything without any real threat from anyone, as long as you're not on Arsha. That's been my experience. So I grind on Arsha, mostly due to the extra drop buff, but the fact that I might be killed by someone else offers a unique excitement. Every other server is meh, as the monsters are mindless. That and everyone is on Marni. Grind zones are dead. But my home is still Chalpheon 3, so switching servers can be a little tedious.
Sure, people are winners here, but I much prefer how things felt back in 2020 when I started. That was the game I bought and put money into. Now, it's completely different. I'm no PKer, but I don't like the new vibe.
Should just create a PvE server, and reset the Karma and red rules back to what they were.
Restore Player vs Player environment of the game
We had this for 7 years, there was constant reports of griefing/pk/temporary bans and harassment. Sadly not a small portion of the PVP Community just wants to ruin it for other players. Therefore the solution was to get rid of main sources of harassment and frustrated victims.
Zero Tolerance against harassment for example following players through Servers to grief them and team up to harass single players constantly.
I think they should give us big PVP group Contents that are rewarding and not timegated. For everyone who want the feeling of fair PvP and Fear of beeing ganked in open work will get a big Bonus Loot-rate on Arsha.
The only Argument i see from people not going to Arsha and still complain is that the want to kill 90DP Shais that are gathering and enjoy it. The Problem is that Arsha is not as populated as people think.
If the metrics indicate that Arsha is extremely popular, the dev's will expand on it. If noone goes to Arsha, then it was the correct decision to protect their player base against harassment.
I can't find any fun playing on arsha for pvp when players with hard cap gear are also there, mostly you are dead in 2-3 skills or 1 grab without being able to fight back, repeat this over and over until you find thats not funny anymore, thats why arsha is empty mostly.
Sounds like this is the issue why PVP is not enjoyable for many. I also dont enjoy "first CC guarantees kill" - PvP.
Other games PVP u had fights for 20 seconds and needed to land 2-3 combos.
Maybe they need to rework PvP (damage scale and drag out fights from 2 seconds to 10s-20s)
Exactly, here is a combination of unballanced classes+ long time CC+ grabs+ gear differences. I imagine that are people who sustain this and really like to one shot lower gear player but this will end with people quitting pvp or game. Compare with WOW for example where you have Fear-Root-Stun CC's for 3-5 seconds but you are not a guaranteed kill CC like here. For sure this is a known issue with the game from long ago with no improvements, they probably have more confidence in streamers thoughts 770GS finding no issue with this but popularity goes down, its finee and under control xD
Oh, this " unballanced classes+ long time CC+ grabs " at season pvp can be handled a bit more easy, still an issue but does not feel so bad with Tuvala PEN gear where the damage dealt / damage income is not big.
Dont forget about enormous AOEs... Tera for example you could avoid more geared palyer with ages if he is not good. Here you spam protected AOE...
