Why is fishing at Waves Rest ALWAYS exhausted even when no-one is there?

I think it's tied into "margoria". Not positive, but i think the margoria zones are all exhausted as well, and nobody fishes there either. (i could be wrong, it's been a while)

Well they need to fix it then - seems weird when no-one is fishing there. Something must have changed because old comments on the internet in places like Reddit say "it's usually abundant" - maybe something got broken.

According to bdofish.com it has it's own region Papua Crinea and it's own loot table (unless I'm reading this incorrectly).

The fish spots are server/game wide (not sure which). Just because no one is standing next to you on your channel doesn't mean there aren't 200 other people fishing in the same spot. It could also be they want to limit the resources you get there.

Nope ... my cone beam scanning of the entirety of Waves Rest does not pick up any other player unless they are all fishing in a Ghillie suit and that's something you don't see even at the highest concentrated fishing spots and I have also changed server as well and the most I see is 2 or 3 people.

ADDENDUM:
Logged in immediately after the patch update and the area was still EXHAUSTED - how is that possible when it's been shut down for 6 hours.

Seeing the spot to be "Exhausted" can also be a bug, I saw spots to be exhausted several times, no players around, but my fishing speed was similar to an abundant spot. So, maybe only a visual bug?
