Remove ability to uncap FPS, if you not going to deal with insanely huge game breaking problem, apply easy solution by forcing Vsync. Its is not acceptable that character performance improve dramastically  with increassing FPS.

There is 0/null/no any logical explanation why someone who had "10k" rigs playing on optimal graphics for FPS exploit.

I fully agree..Being forced to choose between beautiful gameplay, and PvP is just wrong, lets allow us to have both please. As even a decent rtx 3090 setup is still required to run in tetris mode, or suffer the Damage penalty of going from 300+ FPS, to those who just play at 60 fps, cause they never hacked their system files.

 

There is a huge advantage that is impossible to ignore.

 

One idea that comes to mind is that if Forcing Vsync causes too many problems...There is an ingame FPS reference they can grab. If it exceeds a speed limit..just have a client side function that tells the server to apply a dmg debuff, and warns the player they should click the limit to 60 fps option. Anyone over 120 FPS gets this debuff, and should click this option if not taking a screen shot, recording footage or something.

Yeah they know.  They want to fix it and are looking into it...but considering how core of the game that system is...I wouldn't hold my breath.

I hope you are aware, that v-sync syncronizes your framerate to your monitor's refres rate, so 60fps for the plebs, 144fps to the better plebs and 240fps for the high end players.

 

But if you would be aware you would've not write it, as it wouldn't solve anything. You mean fps lock to a given fps, not vsync.

At some points. why not limit the game to 30fps? Since Console player dont see above 24 fps?

The v-sync synchronizes with the refresh of the user's monitor. Normally if you are a real gamer  you have a  1080p 144hz screen. And if you have upgrade lately, You have 4k 144hz,1440p 240hz or 1080p 300hz +.

If you still have a 60hz monitor. It would be time to leave the 2000s. Even some CRTs monitor from the 1990 had 100hz+ even 200hz+.

60 fps is a headache blurry mess and cause enormous visual fatigue.  144 should be the universal standard minimum in our time. and being underneath should be a crime against humanity. Sentenced to 25 years of jail and torture with being forced  to watch and listen Bob Ross video 12h by day.

i agree that the advantage given to the fps is a probleme.

but honestly impossible to fix without a complete overhaul of the engine. Which will never happen. So you might as well call it a hereditary defect and move on.

AMD does not have an inspector profile. and remove the v-sync on Radeon software does not work. There is that Enchancing sync. But it causes massive stuttering which makes the game unplayable and only work when he want , some day i have only 180. another one 260... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well, not only that..but from my understanding, a 144hz monitor is only asking for 72 fps. 240hz 120 fps...Still no excuse to hack the game to get it to push 300+ fps. Any percieved headache is possibly due to a placebo effect.

Well the fact is that after ~24fps, human eye see the alternating image as movement. Everything else above is placeboo.

 

At 144fps the time between two frame is 7ms. At 240 it's 4ms. your human brain can't even understand such little span of time, heck it can't even many times higher than that.

 

Yeah in some trash qualty games fps matter, as incompetent and inexperienced developers don't know how to write proper combat system, but if you leave that aside, the fps race is just placeboo to bait people into buying electronic waste...

The salt is real... You don't have to hack anything. The feature is literally built into the driver suite for your video card.
