Well IDK, I don't grind, and even if I do I don't use potions at all.

Then your opinion on the matter is irrelevant.  If you don't grind yes you don't need an infinite potion, heck you don't need any potions at all.  If you are going to claim you PvP without potions, I will say you are flat out lying or you suck so bad at PvP that they litterally mean nothing.  Why chime in on a subject that does not have a single iota of effect on you only to say that it's not needed.

I actually am 100% confused, do you even play the game anymore?  You claimed you don't grind, you don't have any life skill levels so you don't do any life skills, and if you can claim that the infinite potion is not needed for PvP, you obviously don't PvP.  Thinking about it, maybe you don't grind or PvP is because of the god awful potion use DKs have to go through, both Mana and HP wise.  If memory serves didn't you say that DK's have no HP sustain in another thread?  Which would fly in the face of your claim that the infinite HP pot is not needed.

The only thing I can come up with that is left, is that you sit in Velia on Calpheon 2 and RP all day long, which is fine if that's your thing, but don't claim that people who do any kind of combat don't need an item.

You can buy potions for 1s for RBF and such, that's not that expensive, are you that poor or what?

Even regular potions cost pocket change. The only real "reason" why grinders want it that much is that it takes up much less weight than having hundreds of potions on you.

Which is indeeded true, but luckily that's not something that little "convenience" cash shop can't solve...

DK's have basically no sustain(and I don't think she needs it either), unless you smash HP on hit on your abilities, which definetly not enough for spots where you are dying, but enough for chill spots.

DK have no mana issues(at least on awa). If you run out, you doing it wrong. (In single target scenarios she can run out of mana though.)

And yeah I do not grind mobs or lifeskill, and I have trash gear aswell. Do I play the game? Well bdo deseigned to be played as beign afk in the tray, though I wouldn't call it playing, or who knows, this might be only my erp alt account? you never know...

during calpheon ball they specifically said no to this request

And thats totally good!

So I still don´t know why people are discussing about something whats pointless.

I mean even if they would have not said "no" to the request, they wouldn´t implement such a target-based grinding where you know how much kills for example are left to get this specific reward.

It has a reason that it´s more luck on that specific parts, than skill, time-spending, or whatsoever.

Imagine that it´s a fixed amount of kills, than there is nothing special on it, everyone has it after certain amount of time. Some people of you are really braindead. (Sorry for the strong word, but it is frustrating to see only complains in the forums and toxic people in the game)

And btw. getting medals for being at war, is something I would never be proud of in my life... for killing people, fighting pointless wars. Saving lives this is something I would be proud of.

But back to topic. PA will not change that matter, since they are also driven to go where the majority of gamers want to be, or the competitors go and where the game-industry tents to go.

People are getting more into casual-gaming and less stressful or time-taking gaming, since most people still have a normal life with work and family and not much time to spend for grinding hours.

Than they rather make it luck, so there is no disadvantage for those who like to play the game, but don´t have much time, compared to those who have plenty of time and play it the whole day. I mean if you spend the whole day in that game, try something else, than grinding your whole gaming-life for one infinite pot... Maybe than out of nowhere you will get it, when you the less expect it. And including that point in not playing that fixed, you will have much more fun in the game, than sending daily requests of frustration.

So you play as Cannon Fodder in RBF, yeah some of us play the rest of the game, again your opinion doesn't matter then.  The infinite potion is a requirement for anything that is not life skilling or RBF/BA content unless you wanna stay at Gahaz your entire life.  Enjoy being a punching bag in RBF, the rest of us want more of a life than that.

The infinite potions are made so players can forget about buying more potions. But at some point, where you NEED that drop, or you can't get it, it's not fun for most players, i've seen people grinding 600 hours on 1 spot, trying to get the piece. And that's way too much time imo.

I guess that a solution to this will be adding 100 parts in each spot, even if they took 100 hours to get them, but just see any kind of progress.

Other option will be letting all the mobs in the spot to drop the piece, not just a few.

Idk, sometimes it just feels way too hard/rng that's not fun. Just need to ask on the infinite potions discord

Since the post went a bit wild, I want to clear some stuff about this:

I'm not asking for PA to delete the whole parts, in the change I'm asking for in the quoted text, there's just RARE drops, that at certain point you can change it for the whole part of THAT grindspot.

I'm not asking for PA to that parts be easy to grind, I'm just asking to see SOME progress at all. Even if each part of the 100 takes 2 hours. I don't care grinding for 200 hours for each part if I see PROGRESS.

RNG will still be there, since the whole pieces would be able to drop anyway. But just make it so players don't need to grind 500 hours on each piece, because we all have a life. Thanks!

I would also prefer to have those items either drop at other zones as well or at least add pieces that can then be combined together.

I know it's RNG based game, but some players actually grind for 1000 hours on same spot to get that piece ... that's just absurd even if it's some ultra rare item. Shouldn't be like this.

Nice arguments you got there :))))

I feel like you missed the point; instead of having one treasure that has a very very low drop rate, we would split it into 100 pieces with a bigger drop rate so that we could see some sort of progress. This doesn't reduce the RNG or the time it takes to get the potion, just makes the experience less frustrating. There will still be just as many players that spend 100+ hours on a single piece and players that get the piece in 30 minutes.

Meanwhile some player gets all the pieces in under 10 hours. Lol major nope nope nope nope! But I'm glad you found as game where high dumb luck gates is fun to you.

There are people who 1tapped PEN blackstar with 80 failstacks and the J hammer but i'm not whining on the forum about how low the PEN blackstar success rate is

first, you don't really "need" the infinite pots.

worked around by stocking up couple 10.000s of pots now and then, and always have 1000-2000 in market storage.

but I agree - the ultra low rng mechanics are no fun at all (even I can understand that others might like it).

a lot of topics in game mechanics/design is about rewards and keeping players motivated. with such low chances, it's very likely that your reward will be zero here, as it's all or nothing. plus you don't even see any progress at all, that's the frustrating part.

the recently added items like flame of despair and the cups have a much nicer balance. you can have luck and drop the entire thing fast, but if you're unlucky you still see something after a few days.
