Also, and is it different than the common Afuaru? I know it says "After the Nov 14 maintenance, Afuaru will appear with a distinctly new shimmering effect" so will the common Afuaru NOW have the affect or will there be TWO kinds (the normal and the event one) of Afuarus popping up?

For the current event... Does item drop rate affect how often the little bugger shows up?
Historically drop rates have not effected special drops. Event items, mobs etc. That is not definitive of course, but according to the games history is most likely to be true.

Yup i just finished some grinding and i got both the normal spawn and the special spawn. So it does seem like theres 2 kinds
