They use a software program that copies the sliders over onto a template base that HAS their name on it.

That's why it is so bad.  You have to put the effort into stealing a template.  These people know exactly what they're doing.

I probably wouldn't say anything if it was changed beyond recognition but those that steal templates have often not the necessary skill to make anything look decent by themselves, which often stems from the lack of an experienced eye.
As a result, some may not even notice that we, in fact, see very easily what was ours before. I mean - we made it after all. Duh.

This is not an excuse and I condemn such self-centered behaviour vigorously.

If you can't make something look good by yourself and lack the skill to do so, then you just simply do not belong in a ranking, especially not by using the efforts of another.

You can tell that there is external software used. Not even I could make some of them look this much like the original. It's a 1:1 copy.
We already leave them modifiable so you would not have to do this.

If you need help to make YOUR template look better there are plenty of creators, including myself, more than willing to help you out and we give credit to YOU, voluntarily.

When I started this activity one and a half years ago there was one person on EU ranking #3 by using ONLY stolen templates.
So I kicked him off his throne. Now he steals from me. Sore loser much, huh.

I am one of the lucky people who found perfect templates for my characters on Beauty Album. Templates created by talented people. I am most grateful to Reawakening (my *worst bdo class* Mystic) and Yasogami (my *pve* Guardian) for making and sharing perfect templates for my main characters.

It feels sad to see that Beauty Album is going in degradative direction. If creators are asking for so little... to just re-implement, bring back old functionalities and to respect their work, then it is a bit heart breaking. If developers and moderators can't do so little, then how can we expect big improvements of this part of the game?

The beauty album is a crapfest now.

1. You cannot search for things you would like to use anymore, example I want to use a Night elf template, oh look I cannot search by using elf or night elf I guess I will manually click through thousands of pages to find one NOT HAPPENING.

2.  As a creator I would like to see who all used my templates and made some really cool things with them, oh look I cannot see those anymore unless I hop on every single class I have ever made a template on before seperately.

3. Hey lets look at the top creators, wow the top creator has what 2k downloads total for a year.

4. I would like to see creations from another creator oh wow you click on their name and it doesnt work, and the page is blank because apparently Im on a class I guess they never created a template on. You cannot see a creators album anymore unless you manually type in their name in the  all category search area.

5. Took me a while to figure out my templates were automatically not modifiable now I have to click a button to make that so which is annoying, make them default modifiable if someone wants to block theirs they can click the button instead.

6. What are radio buttons?

Too much to list I actually dont make many templates for people anymore although I do still add some here and there the beauty album is a total crapfest now.

It is indeed very bad at the moment... I am still asking myself what might have been the thought process behind deleting all these functions?

Did they just randomly ask each other "do player even use this?" and were like "nah, don't think so" ?

No offense, but if we would write a ticket about this whole stuff - they would reply with 'MAKE A POST IN FORUM'. So we made it and now where they are? Why nobody replied?

First of all I want to thank Yasogami for opening this thread and giving us a push to all of us who like creations.

In the second place I also want to thank the support for this thread by all those who comment and those who in the future join this topic

I am Rule89 one of the creators of this small but great community and it is more than evident that I speak out to support what Yasogami has stated in a very clear and concise way point by point.

My opinions are listed regarding the order of topics that Yasogami has suggested.

1. Modifications:
in fact (Example) if someone new creates a template and inadvertently uploads the template, then if he wants to use it as a basis for another creation, he will not be able to edit it

2. Template thieves
At this point you have nothing to add, it is easy if the report is multiple and the clear evidence blocks you from sharing creation and that's it, I say it clearly because these people know very well what they are doing and I doubt that they want to refute it. evident.
If this is not dealt with and it becomes something common, I think we will begin to lose desire to create and share ...
Why do I have to prohibit most people from editing my creations because of two or three ($% & @ *%)?

7. Ranking of creators
Personally it is a little irrelevant to me (it is my opinion)
I want to think that it is a mistake, to order alphabetically a classification that ends in 50 ... well. The previous system at least helps me to know that two of my creations are popular, I insist, it is of little use to me but it is better than what there is now ...
In the rest I agree with what has already been mentioned.

8. Editions
Example: if you access the search engine (selecting only the class you are using) you write: Yasogami, you will get all the templates of that class from that creator, so far so good.
Now if you select one of the templates, you "click" on the photo to access the details of the creation and then "click" again on the author's name, in this case Yasogami, and you will see that now you will get not only his creations if not that you will also see the edits they made with their templates
Why is this happening? I don't know, it was to show that the option is there, but the "path" is not the correct one
Solution: that when I access a creator, it shows me his templates and their editions.

9. Contests
It seems absurd and unfair to me that a creation contest rewards imediacy and not creativity.
The following opinion is personal and can be subjective, I only intend to look for a similarity so that it is understood as best as possible.
Does a new player have a chance of winning a PvP Tournament? .... in trend, right?
What solution would you have? It occurs to me that this tournament has several levels of AP / DP
example: 1º Level [150-200 AP] - [200-250 DP]
               2º Level [200-250 AP] - [250-290 DP]
etc etc ... you understand what I mean, everyone, whether new or veteran, will be competing according to their level
Well, although it is different in the "creators contest" something similar could be done
example: (with the option that is now missing from: Popular Creators)
choose 10 creations from No. 1-50
choose 10 creations from No. 51-100
choose 10 creations from No. 101-150 etc etc ...
(When I talk about choosing, I start from the idea that there should be a neutral PA jury that chooses those creations, since they are very rare contests and I do not think it is difficult to do.)
You may tell me: Rule but that is not fair because a new creator will be very low on the list of Popular Creators.
and I will answer you: is it fair that someone who never believed anything, uploads a template and takes the prize for immediacy? And that an active creator of 1 or 2 years does not get anything for not uploading it in "time"? In this proposal I try to reward in fair measure.

And to #4: Yes the head movement should follow the cursor, it does not always do so - especially when you access creator from character selection and not from in game.
Some classes, like Ranger, have really weird eye movement and it is a bit terrifying even.

No ranking no competition. I would prefer it peacefully. 
Though competition also makes one try to be better than before. You can see it from both sides.

Just what is now more present is pictures of boobs.
I'm not hating on "nudity" as someone once accused me of but boobs are clickbait, it does not present any face or body, it just presents female body parts and thus does not belong there.
It also is a little degrading if I put a lot of time into creating something and the boobs are always ranked #1 because you know... it is boobs after all. We ALL know they will always be superior ..
Does not mean I have to support it. It's low effort download catching vs. actually trying to win people's attention with your creation skills.
People can upload body shots without it being clickbait. Just FYI.

It is clear that when I say irrelevant to me, I mean the (Creator Ranking) mode and not what is suggested in this thread.
Regardless of my taste, it is clear that it is better as it was than the "thing" that there is now (evidence that for whatever reason it seems that they did not bother to review).
