Template thieves problem might be defused by always having the original artist name in the save, regardless if someone else downloads it, and reuploads with a tiny difference. The last person who reedited the charater will be shown in the additional info (but never as the main creator). Also all the downloads count toward the original file. It's a matter of setting a unique key to every original character and save it inside the file. The original character being the one created from the base model in the game. Saving a character that already has a uique key, would not rewrite the key. Hence that key would allow tracking all characters and their consequential changes in the gallery.

Ah and yes, please have a light setting that matches the light in a town of bdo for example. Whenever i get to see my character in the game, it never looks like the colours in the creation mode.

i dont agree with your first point let me tell you why? becasue fine tuning lets say you have a nice face and body made it but thair is not your fitting for your taste then obviously you want it to change it. or lets say eye color, or hair color. so i dont support your first point at all :) you are taking this too siriusly. its just a game. not an art competition where you have to water mark the art and include your signature...

I think you misunderstand the first point (modifications). People should be ABLE to change what they don't like about a character.
The game set it to "default" that people cannot do this.
I always have every creation set to modifiable because I want people to be able to change them.

Even if it's just a game, it doesn't feel right when someone else is hyped for something you worked a long time on and spent your thoughts on. The original posters name has to stay. lol why would anyone spend so much time on uploading chars for free if a random just claims it as their creation anyways. ngl how can you disagree with crediting someone's work, you don't know how long it took them.

o.O wow So that's really  a thing in BDO as well... I mean these kind of things happen every day where people trace art works etc and advertise it and even sell them as their own (and it's not okay). Did not think people would put so much effort doing that in BDO as well. Just disrespectful to  the creators who put time and effort into their templates.

I have to admit i do not have much faith in the BDO staff support and customer service, but i agree with Yasogami and all the suggestions. Everyone so far already gave good feedback, so i hope this thread will get the attention it deserves from the staff.

At least they fixed the ranking, I doubt they saw this thread but they also got reports from me and others about the issue.

The template thieves have been a thing since I started making temps. I've tried to report it but they just copy-paste their text the same as usual. No one knows what they actually do.

I mean our #1 thief that has been also mentioned in this thread by Rosy has about 15 accounts to download his own "content". Yoinks our temps (pretty much everyone who posted here has found their stuff in his gallery by now) he changes colors mostly (and has no sense of aesthetics whatsoever). He was on #3 in EU ranking before I started and it was really only stolen temps and half of them booby pics.
If you say something negative about it he comments his own template with something positive OR he just clicks "like" on his temp.
He has a gallery of more than 86 pages (I just stopped there) only SAME faces over and over and over. Every few days he uploads all of them again. It seems nuts to me.
I remember he replied once to Liha "It is MY template".
He does the same on NA now that it is easy to switch regions and he had the nerve to steal Rosy's name and change one letter so no one would notice and upload his stuff on there too.

Not that he was the only problem but he is obviously abusing it, CONSTANTLY and nobody can tell me that it is ok, still it continues.
We've been trying to get him out for SO long and no one reacts to it because beauty album finds no ear at PA.

I've uploaded just a handfull of temps to NA and got already yoinked over there as well by others and one of the yoinks has even 1800 downloads just with different colors. I'm now thinking twice about uploading there.

Thank you to all those who disrespect the base I made. Didn't take me hours or anything (*irony*).
If people don't respect that we put time and work into it then I simply can't continue. It's like saying "I don't give a damn about the time you put in, it's mine now and you had nothing to do with it"
